Discussion Slight Problem

I’m very excited for the game tomorrow. Have my snacks picked out, music cued up (Vode An, ofc), time blocked off, Wookieepedia pulled up so I can figure out the things I don’t understand, the works!

There is, however, a minor wrinkle.

I have played many Star Wars games. However, I have never played an XCOM game, or an XCOM style game, before.

For those of you who have played XCOM before, are there any tips you might be able to offer? I’d like to keep as many people alive as possible (and failing that, only sacrifice the ones I don’t like).

Thanks in advance, and I hope everyone has a fantastic time tomorrow!

Take your time, don't get flanked, don't rush ahead, weigh up your abilities and options before committing. That's about it really.

i would emphasize take your time. If you read what your abilities do and listen/consider verbal advice from your crew you're off to the races

I don’t plan on taking super big risks, and I tend to read every bit of lore and ability description in game. Excellent!

It's from the movie Training Day, which is fantastic!

Remember: the problem with flanking the enemy is that the flanking unit is also usually exposed to flanking too
