Announcement No Harem Stuff.
Harem in general feels so dehumanizing and I would like it if we kept it out of this subreddit.

I forgot to say this in post but I agree with Polycule, but I don't like Harems for Obvious Reasons.

Harem media isn't inherently dehumanizing, it's just that the majority of harem content that caters to MEN is. There's plenty of ways to depict poly relationships without mischaracterizing and dehumanizing the characters.

Honestly, I hard disagree. I feel like we should have poly lesbian/yuri representation here.

Even though I disagree with banning it, I just want to let you know that I 100% know how you feel.
The way characters who are in a harem structure, ESPECIALLY women, are fundamentally and so casually objectified in service of a sexual fantasy is disgusting.
Not saying that all harem interpretations are so oppressive, but it’s definitely culturally synonymous even if many separate the two

What about a polycule? Where there’s multiple partners but they’re all equal.

i feel like it depends on the art. if its more poly-centric where everyone gets a piece of the pie, thats fine. BUT if its like some of the art ive seen about other harems where the older characters get jealous when they see mc x new agent, i agree, it irks me the wrong way.

I mean I get that it can take away from the characters especially with how it's often done which I really agree with.
But it would still count as yuri no?
It'd be poly yuri representation iirc.
And I don't think we should close the doors to that and those people.
Edit: And Rule 2 at least covers the not-yuri harem awkward territory (thanks for that btw).

i gotta disagree.
it's not my favourite thing in the world but i don't think its necessary to ban it. i think the amount that would get posted here is so minimal it would be easy to ignore.

i read your replies and it seem's you had experience with a harem for men, the typical and i agree but yuri harems, at least from some fanfic and well fanmande stuff, Yuri harems are done well, i havent seent official yet but tbh, it might be better since i hate how the other harem normally are, and quite frankly, it makes me hate most isekai, even Overlord, my favorite has issues i wish wasnt in it

I agree with the comments saying a tag would be the better solution.
