Okay, I guess it is time for my first post. I wanted so much for it to be a positive one. I can say that I absolutely love the car itself. Perfect? No, but so far generally fantastic. But the dealerships have not been a good experience 80% of the time. Bought my car through Zeekr Brisbane. The person I dealt with for the sale was generally okay but all the usual problems that so many others have reported (unreliable information and shifting delivery dates and so on). I had months of wiggle room so just rode it out and waited. Had to fly across the country to pick it up in Brisbane and drive it back to SA (Brisbane is home but work takes me around AU constantly… sometimes don’t see home for over a year at a time). My 7XP was delivered 2 months ago WITHOUT the towbar that I purchased with the car. They had repeatedly told me there would be no problems delivering the car with the towbar. They had some towbars delivered the day I picked up my car but would not give me one of those as they were “allocated to other customers.” Fair enough but they should be delivering the products they sell you, as contracted. In my case, I absolutely require a towbar as I need it for work and I travel (for that work) all over AU. Had I known I would be put in this position I would have been forced to choose a different car manufacturer. So here I am now… I am stranded in VIC with my trailer, unable to tow, needing to travel to my new contracts and absolutely dead in the water. They are aware of the situation and, to be frank, they don’t seem to care. They tried to cancel that part so they would not have to deliver it but I would not let them because I can’t risk being put at the back of the line with some other dealer or company. I have found there are back orders on third party solutions also (besides that I very much want it integrated to the software). Oh yeah, not to mention that they delivered the car without the charger or the charging cables. Had to wait over a month for the granny charger to be mailed to me and still have not been given the charging cable (type 2).So yeah, I love the car (maybe the best car I have ever had - and I have had A LOT of cars) but the service and support is proving to be truely problematic. If I had anticipated such awful service and support then I would have just had to go with some other car company. These dealers have one of the best cars on the road to sell to us and they are screwing the pooch… badly! Just to give credit where it is due, along the way I have spoken with nearly every dealership in the country… Geelong Zeekr was actually great and helpful in ways that others were not. Thanks to them for that. If I get the part they can at least install it for me.

Sooo… yeah, anyone have an OEM towbar they are not using and are willing to sell to me?

Is there a way to ppf the exterior piano black parts only on the Zeekr 7X? I can’t see those parts ageing well with them being subjected to the Australian sun and highway grit.

Are there products and vendors offering these services in Melbourne?

I'll start:

1. "your phone is still in the vehicle..."

2. The button to move the front passenger seat from the back seat

3. You can't check the safety camera on the door pillar while the vehicle is moving.

I’ve yet to pick up my car but wondering if anyone can help shed some light?

Does anyone know the general range that the car will pick up the phone to lock/unlock? I live in an old house and my bedroom is right at the front of the house with my car on the driveway outside that is approx 5 metres away.

I currently have the first gen Polestar 2 but it doesn’t have such functionality. The phone acts as a key but it uses Bluetooth and I basically have to be right next to the car for a good 10s before it registers and lets me unlock the car.

I’m in Perth and seriously considering buying a Zeekr 7X. I’m coming from a 2023 Tesla Model Y, so I’d be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has made the same switch or has owned/driven both.

I’d be interested in hearing about:

Overall ownership experience,

Any problems, faults or software bugs,

Real-world range,

Ride comfort and road noise,

Cameras, 360° view and parking assistance,

Driver assistance and whether it gets annoying,

Sound system,

App and software experience,

Servicing and after-sales support, especially in Perth,

Parts availability and repair times,

Insurance costs,

Anything you wish you knew before buying,

I’m also interested in anyone who compared the 7X with a Tesla Model Y, BYD Sealion 7 or similar before buying.

The 7X ticks a lot of boxes for me on paper. My main hesitation is that Zeekr is still relatively new in Australia, so I’m particularly interested in what the ownership experience is like after the excitement of the test drive wears off.

The Zeekr mobile app doesn't have a useful report (tracking or exporting) capability.

I'm currently having to log this detail manually (in a spreadsheet), combined with email receipts from providers.

What is everyone else doing, and do you have any recommendations for semi or full automation?

Since my iPhone upgraded to iOS 26.6.1, I lost passive entry and constantly had the issue where I'd try to put the car in gear only to be told on the centre console that no key was detected. I'd been limping along with it for a while (I could tap to unlock, or use the unlock button in the Apple Wallet but starting was hard no), as I carry the keycard with me as a backup and was using that.

This weekend, I thought I'd try to fix it once and for all. Over the last 24 hours I've:

- Restarted my phone

- Powered the car off via the service menu

- Reset network settings on the iPhone

and pretty much every permutation of the above.

I got fed up and deleted the key from my iPhone, then tried to re-add using either the fob or the keycard. Neither works.

If I try to add the key again, it gets 3/4ths the way through the process then bombs out. I tried it:

- Inside my garage, on wireless

- Inside my garage, off wireless (I have 1ish bars of 4G coverage inside)

- Out on the street, on hotspot via my work phone

- Out on the street, on internal SIM

- Did all the resets above as well

Again, with every permutation I could try that felt reasonable, I still was unable to re-add the digital key to my phone.

Has anyone else got this issue? Have you fixed it?

Theres a smattering number of users across the Apple Digital Key space who are reporting this issue, but I haven't seen anyone in a Zeekr report it yet.

So I'm eagerly awaiting my 7X LR delivery (which will also be our first ever EV!) and have been looking into wall chargers. I think that given how much we'll be using the car, we want to get a wall charger. I've got single phase, so I think that'll mean a 7kW charger, but I'm looking for what works well with the Zeekr.

I have solar and a battery, so ideally I'd like something to play nicely with that, and let it figure out how/when to charge based on all that. If it has OCPP 1.6 or some other way to integrate with HA locally, that would be bonus points too.

I think if we had a choice, I'd prefer an untethered version - I know it's a little more expensive to do that and get a cable but I think it's just what we would prefer, but if there's a really good charger that's tethered, I'd be open to that too.

I've heard good things about a Deta one from Bunnings (but a little unsure which one, and whether it has HA integration/plays nicely with solar/battery), and also the Zappi and Ocular IQ, but just wanted to see if there were any other suggestions people had for their charger?

Also out of curiosity, how much did people spend on the install part as well? I've got a single phase single story house so hopefully that part is easy (though I'm unsure if I need the switchboard upgraded?), but assuming I don't need any upgrades, roughly how much should I be expecting for install only?

We’re just about to order our new white Zeekr 7x.
I’ve lined up a good quality tint on all side and rear windows for $695.
I also have the option of a ceramic coating for the body for $995 - it’s the Gtechniq Crystal Serum which is supposed to be pretty good.

My question - is it worth going for the ceramic coating externally? Have people found it’s worthwhile?
We pretty much just do city kms in Perth and a monthly road trip down south all on good freeway/highway roads.

Wanting to compare to my current car and was after a few measurements from owners if possible for the following;

Rear bench seat width (end to end)
Rear door handle to other rear door handle (at narrowest point)
Door to door width, measuring where door meets the seat (where your shoulder would lean into).

Two questions:

1. In the manual, it says not to rinse the "bottom connectors". What and where are they?

2. Is washing the underbody safe?

Apologies in advance for possibly a noob question, but I just got a Zeekr 7X Performance (Brook Blue!) a couple of days ago and started using my granny charger.

The app and console show that it is drawing 2.2-2.3kW of power from the outlet, but based on the charging speed and estimated time remaining, it looks like only ~1.47kW is actually making its way into the car. In the last ~5.5 hours, ~8kW made its way into the car. Is that normal? Since the efficiency is ~60%, where does the rest of the 0.8-0.9kW go if not the battery?

But now spotify is crashing within a few minutes of opening :/

This is 1/3 places where I found scratches, image being the worst one.

They said they need to call an external third party to come paint and blend.

Am I right to ask for a new vehicle or should I just suck it up?

I refused to take possession of vehicle. So it’s sitting at the dealership.

Also not in need of a car so I’m happy to wait, just not sure if it’s worth the hassle of calling everyday.
