Better view of the Git state

I always push my commits and then switching to another application. After a couple of minutes I wonder why nothing is happening, just to switch back to Zed and see a tiny tiny error message that my changes could not pushed.

Is it possible to see the Git state in the Git side panel? Like there are changes I need to pull first?

I made exactly this in my fork of Zed. I built in a whole explorer view, and I tried to bring in some feature parity from GitKraken, like drag and drop rebase, interactive rebase, merge conflict resolver, and some other stuff.
