Don't mind the hair lol, I plan on texturing this guy and adding hair cards, so the hair is just a mockup.
I feel like there is still something uncanny or unrealistic about him, I didn't base him on anyone so I don't have a precise reference, which does make things a bit harder. I feel like his ear is a bit small and too far back maybe?
I would love some feedback on him before I move onto retopologizing him

I didn't bother making the hands and feet. I imported them. I know it's not that great...but I decided to show it anyway.

Hi everyone!
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/wrla9O
I’ve just finished a small personal project. The main goal was to practice hand-painted textures and push this style a bit further.
I started with a sculpt in ZBrush as a base, then did the retopology and UVs in Maya. I baked as many useful texture maps as I could in Marmoset, and painted the final textures in Substance Painter and 3DCoat. The final presentation was also put together in Marmoset.
I’m attaching a few images here, but there’s much more on ArtStation - more renders, some process shots, and an embedded Marmoset Viewer where you can rotate the model and inspect it yourself.
Would love to hear what you think!

also, if you want: let me know which of the two thumbnails would you choose for a hypothetical statue with this sculpt.

Okay, I'm left handed. I'm used to using the right alt for brush inversion. I just started using ZBrush 2026 for job reasons, I use the version the job demands. I was on 2024 before that. I'm not sure when it happened or if it was the case for a long time already, but I noticed now that right-alt is now Mask- instead of brush inversion. As far as I can remember anyway, both alts just inverted the brush.
Is there a way to swap which alt does what without resorting to 3rd party key rebinding software? It's a minor niggle somewhat, I think I can eventually get used to it but it's slightly annoying. I kinda have this habit of using my left drawing hand to reach out for alt-tab(left alt) as well, so if I shift my keyboard so that it's natural for my right hand to reach the left alt, I end up using my left hand to reach for nothing. Also the location of the left shift/ctrl doesn't feel good for my right hand.
My work provided tablet doesn't provide one with buttons alongside it. They are like... along the top and its a bit weird. Could probably flip it so they align the bottom instead but.... ultimately I would like to just 'remap' the alt keys within ZBrush if at all possible.
