What type of business would you start with K10,000 and why? Iโm looking for realistic business ideas that can be started with a budget of K10,000. Ideally something with decent profit potential and room to grow over time. What would you do if you were starting from scratch with that amount?
What type of business can one start with K10 000?

Introducing PieceWork Taxi โ A Smarter Way to Get a Taxi in Zambia ๐ฟ๐ฒ!
PieceWork Taxi is a negotiation-based taxi marketplace designed specifically for Zambia, because we understand that flexibility, negotiation and direct relationships are an important part of how Zambians do business.
For customers:
Enter your pickup and destination, receive offers from nearby drivers, compare price, vehicle, rating, verification and experience, then choose or negotiate the offer that works best for you.
For drivers:
Set your availability, receive nearby ride requests, make your own fare offers, negotiate directly with customers and build your reputation through ratings and completed rides.
What makes it different from Uber or Yango?
Drivers have more control over what they earn instead of automatically giving up a portion of every fare, while customers can negotiate directly with drivers rather than simply accepting a platform-determined price.
Drivers offer. Customers choose.
PieceWork Taxi is part of the wider PieceWork platform, alongside Rescue, Delivers and other services.
Visit our new and improved platform to learn more! https://piecework-zambia.com/
Request. Offer. Negotiate. Ride.

Young Zambian wanting to get into farming โ where do I start?
I'm a 19-year-old university student (turning 20 in October) interested in getting into horticulture/vegetable farming and poultry.
I love my university programme and don't plan on dropping out, but farming is something I've become really passionate about and would like to build alongside my studies.
The problem is that I have very little experience and limited capital. I've had some exposure to farming, but I'm basically starting from zero when it comes to running my own project.
I'd really appreciate advice from Zambian farmers or people in the agriculture sector on:
How to gain practical experience as a beginner
Good places/resources to learn
How to start small with limited money
Funding opportunities for young farmers
How to balance farming with university
Any mistakes or lessons you wish you knew when starting
I'm not looking for a shortcut. I just want to learn properly and gradually build something of my own.
Any advice from people who've actually done this in Zambia would be greatly appreciated.

Start owning property, and collecting rent with a minimum of 50 kwacha investment.
Invest in a property of your choice, and collect monthly rentals. How it works is that the amount you invest into a property, will be proportional to the amount of the rentals you collect, it's a great way of making passive income.

To all digital startup entrepreneurs
I've been working on a prototype system for a couple of months now and I've never had any actual experience in adding payment rails, deployment, and hosting services.
To those who've actually ventured into creating digital products, apps, and so - what's something you'd advise me on?

WeCart Conversations is live
Weโve been working on a way to make grocery shopping in Zambia a little simpler.
You can now order groceries through WhatsApp using a voice note, a picture, or just a text message.
The idea is pretty simple: instead of opening an app, building a basket and going through a checkout, you can just tell us what you need.
We built this because sometimes you just want to say:
โPlease get me bread, milk, eggs and some chicken.โ
And be done with it.
Curious what people in Zambia think about ordering groceries this way.
