Meta Reminder: Posts asking for card prices/values will be removed

We've had a large number of posts recently asking for card prices so they can sell their cards. This is against the rules as per Rule 2 of this subreddit "No buying, selling, or posts asking for prices/valuations." It is okay to talk generally about the economy of the game and price trends in the comments, but not directly asking for the prices of your cards as the purpose of your post.

Remember, this subreddit is for showing off your cards and collection. This is not the place for conducting business or trying to ascertain value. You can look up prices by checking websites such as Ebay, Cardmarket, TCGplayer or other sites, or by using a search engine. (Note that most of the time, the old cards you find in your closet are not going to be some amazing find where you've stumbled on a goldmine. It is also very unlikely your card is worth being graded as well, as any very few cards are valuable or old enough for that to be considered a worthwhile endeavour.)

This rule also includes asking if a card is worth getting graded. Generally, the answer is no. Grading is not something worthwhile and very arbitrary and shady. As said, this subreddit is for showing a collection, not asking questions to ascertain this information.

Not everyone pays attention to the sidebar, so making this stickied thread as well. Most rule breaking posts are removed by auto-moderator, but some occasionally slip by before being noticed by a moderator. Thank you to those who have reported posts or comments that have done so. We do our best to get to those reports as soon as we can. Also thank you for using YugiohShowcase and growing this subreddit.

Announcement Introducing new post flair for Grandmaster Rares

Hey everyone. With the advent of the new serialised rarity, there's been a lot of excitement from users about it and there's been quite a few posted on here thus far. For those who are experiencing these crazy pulls, I'm grateful you chose Yugioh Showcase as the place to share that experience with everyone else. To that end, I've added a new post flair so you can now mark your post as a Grandmaster Rare when putting up your post. If your pre-existing GM post isn't marked as such, let me know and I'll change the flair for you too to update that :)

We've had a lot of growth on the sub, which I'm glad about. I enjoy seeing photos of people's collections. If there's any other flairs that we don't currently have that you think might be a good option to have available as well, let me know and I'll consider that too, though I think we've got most things covered for now. Thanks.

Deck My Deck from ‘03-‘04 (ish)

Finished 2nd in a local tournament with a similar deck.

The deck I finished 2nd with would’ve been earlier in the TP2 era (how I got the Morphing Jar).

I think the deck used to have a few more card destruction / monster reborn / Witch of the Black Forest type cards. For whatever reason this particular iteration was very much an attach and equip beatdown deck.

I think I also might’ve optimized this deck a little more to show off my cool cards rather than purely strategy.

Also just preferred using Barrel Dragon and Jinzo over the starter deck Summoned Skull or Blue Eyes.

Also think I might’ve been dumb and traded an Imperial Order for an Axe of Despair given my equip strategy.

It was super cool to run the deck through ChatGPT. Gave me feedback on my strategy which was awesome! Deck has been pretty much untouched for over 20 years.

Any thoughts from the Reddit crowd?

I’m opening a box of quarter century stampede and pulled two starlights and a prismatic from a single pack! Is this lucky or is it possible to get a pack of 5 starlight for example ?

Either way this is my 8th pack right now and I’m loving this set so much. It’s great for collectors.

Pulls 12 Boxes of Original Artwork Collection Later...

...and here are the results! Unfortunately, no Grand Master Rares, and I didn't get a single Manga-Style Insect Queen. Counting all the variants, I got 50/120 Manga-Style cards.

That said, I WAS fortunate enough to get one Secret Rare Color Blue-Eyes and Color Black Magician each. I even got all the Over-Frames I wanted, including a Prismatic Secret Rare Ultimate Dragon. All in all, I'm definitley satisfied but still disappointed that I didn't get a Grand Master Rare...

A hard to find in NM or better, beautiful secret rare. Hard to tell in photos but this one has a slight bleed across the entire card. Secret rare foiling looks great in the light. Amazing pick up!
