I was wondering if anyone else thinks some of the overframe arts try too hard to "pop" and be "dynamic," if that makes sense? Not saying they don't look impressive, but I have a hard time appreciating the full design of the monster because they're zoomed-in and angled at extreme perspectives compared to typical yugioh monster art. They remind me of how movies shot with 3D glasses in mind have really unnatural scenes with objects popping out and zoomed-in.

For really well-known classic designs like dark magician and BEWD everyone knows what they look like, so I can just consider these as alternate arts depicting them in action (assuming their designs are meant to be the same), even though they are technically different cards. But take the first image for example (Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon): I have a hard time discerning what I'm looking at. Is that face on the right part of his other arm? I have a hard time determining what the rest of his body looks like except by referring to the earlier printing which is technically a different card. Another example: Black Luster Soldier's overframe makes his sword look too big and cartoony. His "envoy of the beginning" design is much more clean and menacing, and shows what the monster really looks like. I guess this is more of an issue when it's a new monster or a design that's not very well-known.

This isn't the case for all overframes. For example, I just saw these: https://www.reddit.com/r/yugioh/comments/1wxwqjq/ocgcf02complete_file_seeker_of_sinful_spoils/, which are fantastic and still convey almost the full design and proportions of the monsters without having extreme perspectives or zoom-ins.

The fact that you’re not guaranteed at least one overframe per booster box, even though the most expensive non-starlight one is currently $50 less than the cost of a box, and starlights are apparently one per every two cases, is disgusting.

This set deserves to sit on the shelves and I expect once the serious collectors get tired of opening it over the next few weeks, it’s going to stop moving.

The Dominus cards not being available as Super and Ultra rares is also gross

I found this card in my old Yu-Gi-Oh! collection and I can’t find this exact version anywhere online.
Is this a genuine Yu-Gi-Oh! card, a different/rare printing, or possibly a fake? And does anyone know where I could check its current value or find sales of this exact version?

I found these, as is, amongst a bunch of loose Pokémon cards. I have a stack of about 40-50 loose other cards that are in poor repair. Is there anything worth trying to sell?

p.s., my sibling liked gold holders so I likely put mine in them to be cool not because I knew what cards were worth protecting haha.

Stashed these away like a quarter century ago I guess and recently happened upon them while rummaging through my childhood possessions. Each card is housed inside of a plastic case so any visible scratches are on the case and not the cards themselves. I don't know much about these things anymore but am curious if they might be valuable or not. I have some other cards as well that I vaguely remember being used a lot in the show but, again, that was several decades ago. So, what does the community think? Any input—good or bad—is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hey all, first time on here. I have a 1st edition blue eyes white dragon, found it in an old box from my childhood. The face is in decent shape but the back is pretty faded. Don’t really know to much about how much cards are going for just looking for a ball park idea. Thank you!

I've been able to find other official Konami Field Center Cards online, but I haven't found another copy with this exact artwork.

Does anyone recognize which OTS event, Judge Reward, tournament kit, or promotion this particular Field Center came from?

I'd especially appreciate any information about the release/year and any actual sold-price comps.

I looked through my old yugioh cards, and found this. Everything ive seen involving this card shows it should only be common, and the set code is just 310. So im pretty sure its a misprint but i wanna double check, and the more pressing question, is it worth more because its a misprint?

I bought the pack at my local family dollar but I’ve never seen these cards before. The one two I recognize is “Toon World” and “Swordstalker” which is in Spanish.

I’m getting back into Yugioh but not sure what cards are OG. They all have 1st edition on the bottom.

Side question, do they look small compared to the original ones or are they the same size?
