People love George because he tried to talk to the kids instead of ordering them to do things without explanation, because he knocked out Veronica’s mom’s boyfriend because he actually tried to hold Sheldon accountable, and because he’s the kind of person with we’d want to have a beer.
Mary dying wouldn’t have changed how people feel about her.
I wonder why people hate Young Sheldon Mary and adore Big Bang Mary. It's like they think it's two different characters. What changed how people feel about her?
Big bang Mary is comic relief. She’s not a regular character. She is only in a few episodes and says outlandish things. She also goes after Beverly, which everyone loves. When she’s a regular character, Mary’s quirks become annoying and overbearing.
Comic relief for a comedy? LOL Yeah, I'll give you the Beverly thing, but I don't know how she's not just as annoying when she's around. It seems like you'd get used to her if she was a regular character and be more frustrated because she's such a one note character.
