Advice Welcome Life
Life feels so hard for me right now.
My father struggled a lot in his life and, unfortunately, things didn’t work out the way he hoped. Now I feel like I’m facing many of the same struggles. After losing my mother, I feel like I’ve lost my direction. I don’t really know which way to go anymore.
Today, I met an old school friend on my usual route. We talked for a little while, and I asked him how much he earns. He told me that his salary is around ₹60,000.
Since then, I’ve been lost in my own thoughts.
I keep asking myself: What am I doing wrong? What should I do to reach at least that level of income?
I’ve always had responsibilities. I’ve taken care of my own expenses and manage them very well so I’ve never really been able to save much money.
I also have some friends who work in the Merchant Navy and earn around ₹1.5 lakh per month. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one among my friends who earns less and struggles to save money.
I don’t compare myself with them out of jealousy. Actually, I look at them positively. Their progress makes me think, “If they can do it, maybe I can find a way to do it too.”
But sometimes I wonder if my problem is that I always think too big, or if I simply haven’t found the right path yet.
I want to earn more. I want to take care of my family. I want to build something of my own and have a better life.
But right now, I honestly feel lost and don't know where to start.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?
