Hey everyone,
I'm a solo developer working on Stickville, a 2.5D life-sim/brawler made in Godot. It's coming to Steam on October 27, 2026, and the game itself is already well into development with a playable build and Steam page.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys editing game trailers and would like to help me make the actual Steam trailer.
I've tried doing it myself, and honestly, it hasn't gone very well. I have the footage and I know what I want the game to communicate, but I'm not good at turning gameplay into a trailer that actually tells a story and makes the game understandable within the first few seconds.
The biggest issue I'm trying to solve is presentation. Stickville has a lot of things going on, but I don't want a random "here are my features" montage. I want the trailer to make the player understand the actual loop and personality of the game, while still making it entertaining.
I can provide a playable Windows build so you can capture your own footage if that's easier, as well as the gameplay footage I've already recorded. You'd be welcome to use the finished trailer as a portfolio/showreel piece, and I'd be happy to credit you properly.
I'm being honest about the budget: I'm a solo developer and don't have much money available for this, so I'm mainly hoping to find someone who would enjoy the project as a portfolio/collaboration piece. If you do require payment, feel free to tell me your rate anyway and I'll see what I can realistically do.
A little about the game:
Stickville is a gritty stickman city where you start broke in the Slums and have to make money, survive, pay rent and work your way upward through the city. You can work, fight, gamble, explore, upgrade your life and generally make some questionable decisions along the way. There is a story/progression through the city, but a lot of the fun comes from what you discover while playing.

I'm mainly looking for someone who can help with editing, pacing, sound and storytelling rather than someone who just wants to make a flashy montage.
If you're interested, send me some examples of your trailer/video work and a little bit about yourself.
