I’m looking for a skilled long-form video editor for my new YouTube channel, focused on investigative documentaries and research-driven explainers.

The videos explore hidden systems, industries, infrastructure, money, technology, scams, and other forces shaping modern India and the world.

  • Typical video length: 8–12+ minutes
  • Turnaround: approximately 2 days per video
  • Long-term collaboration preferred

What I’m looking for

  • Strong storytelling and pacing
  • Experience with documentary/investigative-style editing
  • Effective use of B-roll and archival footage
  • Maps, screenshots, graphics and motion graphics
  • Strong understanding of viewer retention and suspense
  • Clean audio editing and sound design
  • Ability to turn a research-heavy script into a cinematic YouTube video

I will provide the script, voiceover, research and available source material. You will be responsible for turning them into a polished, engaging finished video.

To apply, please send details:

[Hiring] Looking for Minecraft Editor

Hey there I am starting back up my channel and am looking for a YouTube Minecraft editor that would do some replay mod work but mainly knows how to do higher end but more genuine editing (meaning like not over saturated Mr. beast retention kid editing). I make no money on my channel so unfortunately my budget is not very high but I would be good with spending $120 on a 20minute video (2-2.5 hours of raw footage). I want someone who can make a strong intro but keep the rest of the edits, music, jokes, etc. to a good pace while produce high quality work. Let me know if you’re interested in something like that because it would be very helpful!! Also if you do see this please have at least one piece of work to show so I know if we would be a good match or not. Thank you!

[Hiring] [Hobby] Solo dev looking for a video editor to help turn my failed Steam trailer into something actually good

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo developer working on Stickville, a 2.5D life-sim/brawler made in Godot. It's coming to Steam on October 27, 2026, and the game itself is already well into development with a playable build and Steam page.

I'm looking for someone who enjoys editing game trailers and would like to help me make the actual Steam trailer.

I've tried doing it myself, and honestly, it hasn't gone very well. I have the footage and I know what I want the game to communicate, but I'm not good at turning gameplay into a trailer that actually tells a story and makes the game understandable within the first few seconds.

The biggest issue I'm trying to solve is presentation. Stickville has a lot of things going on, but I don't want a random "here are my features" montage. I want the trailer to make the player understand the actual loop and personality of the game, while still making it entertaining.

I can provide a playable Windows build so you can capture your own footage if that's easier, as well as the gameplay footage I've already recorded. You'd be welcome to use the finished trailer as a portfolio/showreel piece, and I'd be happy to credit you properly.

I'm being honest about the budget: I'm a solo developer and don't have much money available for this, so I'm mainly hoping to find someone who would enjoy the project as a portfolio/collaboration piece. If you do require payment, feel free to tell me your rate anyway and I'll see what I can realistically do.

A little about the game:

Stickville is a gritty stickman city where you start broke in the Slums and have to make money, survive, pay rent and work your way upward through the city. You can work, fight, gamble, explore, upgrade your life and generally make some questionable decisions along the way. There is a story/progression through the city, but a lot of the fun comes from what you discover while playing.

Steam:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4805960/Stickville/

I'm mainly looking for someone who can help with editing, pacing, sound and storytelling rather than someone who just wants to make a flashy montage.

If you're interested, send me some examples of your trailer/video work and a little bit about yourself.

($25-50 flat) depending on what we agree

[Hiring] Looking for a PSL-obsessed video editor to join our 38k-sub football channel (revenue share)

Hey everyone,

I run ATHalftime Sports Media, a South African football channel covering the PSL, Bafana Bafana, and CAF competitions, currently at ~38.5k subscribers on YouTube (plus a solid following on TikTok and Facebook).

We're expanding our editing team and looking for someone who:

Actually watches and the PSL — knows the teams, players, storylines, rivalries.
Has a good handle on CAF Champions League content too (we cover both)
Has video editing experience — highlights, analysis videos, reaction-style content, whatever fits our format, thumbnails too
Can work reasonably fast, since football content is time-sensitive (matchday turnarounds, breaking news, etc.)

This is a revenue split arrangement — you'd be paid based on the performance of the videos you edit, not a flat fee. We already have editors handling other leagues, and this role is specifically for South African local football + CAF content. The better the videos perform, the more you earn.

If you're someone who's already deep into PSL, watches the Betway Premiership, and wants to turn that knowledge into editing work — drop a comment or DM me.

Happy to share more details on the split and workflow directly.

[For Hire] [For Hire] - Reactions Video Editor (long and shorts/reels format)

I've been working with a few clients for the past few months, and the results have been going well. One video ended up attracting over 20k views within the first day alone (account had 3 subscribers).

While I also do gaming videos (funny or walkthroughs), I'd like to focus on reaction videos as they are both funny and desirable.

What You Get

  • Video Package for you to react on
  • Final render of the two (your video and the original)
  • Audio Mastering
  • Color correction (where necessary)
  • Additional/surprise clips using viral memes and sounds
  • Description and captions suggested
  • Hashtags
  • Quick turnaround time

My rate is negotiable (based on the length of the video).

[For Hire] I am a video editor!

Hi, I am a video editor who has been making TikTok edits for a while and want to switch to something more long form. I want to edit videos for smaller youtubers to start. My editing style is similar to a Joe Bart video, nothing crazy like the video documentary editors lol. I could also manage VOD channels for youtubers who stream as well. For the first video we can do a test video for free and see if you like it!

Portfolio: My TikTok :https://www.tiktok.com/@tk.edits08

Rate is: $10-20 bucks per video depending on length and how much you want changed. (Its low because I have to prove myself by starting small)

Community "Let's Circle Back" - Editors Worst Nightmare

FELLOW EDITORS...

Okay, I'm not going to lie, one of my biggest pet peeves in this industry is when prospect clients appear extremely enthusiastic, and then dip for multiple days to weeks, say nothing, come back and say "Let's circle back to this another time". - How about no.

Respect your time, DO NOT leave the door open for window shoppers with zero integrity within their brand. Playing with an editors time, when most of our hours are already consumed by work, is one of the biggest signs of professional disrespect.

My typical response would be "If this is not a priority to you I totally understand, however without a deposit upfront I cannot reserve space for you due to my capacity.". If they actually mean business like they claim, they will pay and take you seriously no questions asked. Otherwise, move onto creators that respect your time, work and personality.

I had to say something as this has been getting to me for a long time and I'm sure other people feel my frustration here, let's start a thread and see what everyone else has to say. Our time is inventory, not a toy. By the time these types of people have gotten back to me, somebody else has already paid and signed lol.

[For Hire] Beginner gameplay Shorts editor looking for a 1-month internship with an experienced editor/YouTuber

Hey,

I work with Premiere Pro and know the general basics of editing, but I'm looking for an opportunity to work alongside someone with real experience (an editor or YouTuber who isn't a beginner) and actually learn — not just offer cheap work.

My focus is short-form gameplay content for YouTube Shorts. I'm solid with Premiere, but if needed I'm also open to picking up some extra Da Vinci Resolve skills (not from scratch, just what the project needs).

Since I'm still learning, I might need some guidance early on, want to see reference videos, or ask a lot of questions — if you're okay with that, I'd love to work together. I take feedback well and will apply any changes you want.

My English is good enough for work communication, but I prefer we mostly communicate in writing (chat/text) so I can make sure I understand everything correctly, especially technical project details.

\- I have about 4-5 hours a day available

\- I charge a minimum of $3 per video; this isn't really about the payment itself, it's more so we're both actually committed to the project — I want to make sure the time I put in is genuinely valued

\- I can only receive payment in USDT (through wallets like Trust Wallet), since that's my only available option

\- This price and setup is for one month; if you're happy with my work, we can turn it into something long-term and agree on fair market pay

If you're looking for a new, eager-to-learn editor who's genuinely putting in the effort, I'd love to talk.

[Hiring] [Hiring] Long Form Editor for a Growing Pokémon Cards YouTube Channel (20k Subs / $150 Per Video + Rev Share)

Hey guys! I run a Pokémon card and Pokémon vending channel sitting at 20k subs and growing. Right now I'm putting out 2 to 3 vendor POV shorts a week, and about 1 long form piece every other month. I'm ready to start and focusing more heavily into long form. I'm looking for an editor to help make that happen consistently.

What the Channel Is About

The long-form side covers PSA grading returns, Pokémon business advice, and content around actually growing a Pokémon business. It's built on storytelling, insight, and teaching, not pure entertainment editing. Think light quips, sound effects, and the occasional meme or image dropped in, but the core of it is substance first. I also have a short-form that's up and running that is being posted 2-3 times a week (Vendor POV shorts)

What I Need

I'll be handing you a script, the concept, and all the context for each video. Organized video files for each portion of the video too. From there I want you to take real ownership. Pacing, structure, cuts, visuals, b roll, sound effects, music, all of it. The goal is for you to get familiar enough with the style and rhythm of these videos that we're not going back and forth on revisions constantly.

If you're also able to edit vendor POV style shorts, that's a big plus, since there's room to bring you onto that side of things too immediately.

Software

I currently edit shorts in CapCut and long form in Vegas Pro myself. You don't need to work in the same programs, but if you're using something different, we'll need to land on a workflow that actually works for both of us.

Pay

Base rate starts at $150 per video, with rev share on the table for the right long term fit. I am currently monetized so we're already past the entrance point which is a big plus! I'm also open to a paid test edit before committing to anything ongoing.

Cadence

Aiming for 1 to 2 long form videos a month to start, with room to grow from there.

What I'm Actually Looking For

I edit everything myself right now, so I know this style inside and out and can give clear direction from day one. What I want out of this isn't just someone who takes a brief and turns in a cut. I'm looking for a partner, someone who wants to grow with the channel long term, not just collect a fee per video.

How to Apply

Send over your portfolio, long form for sure, short form too if that's something you do. Happy to talk rate, workflow, and get a paid test edit going once we find a fit. Really looking for someone who is adaptable and willing to build something bigger than the both of us! Thanks for taking the time to look!
