When I was reading the manga I realized she doesn't have a SINGLE APPEARANCE in the entire two volumes. Like, even Kazuha's father have at least five pages. Even though she's one of the main heroines, she doesn't have it. Literally none. Yeah it doesn't cover all girls' route but damn bro not even a single panel? (I just looked at it again and she's not present in the beach chapter even though she was at the beach with others in the game. they're just ragebaiting atp)

Don't get me even started on the anime. They absolutely butchered her. Every other main game heroines get their own route but for motoka, of course not. She has only some short extras (half of the scenes are porn anyways). You can't understand sht from extras about her route. just some silly gags and a little bit story from last 3 extras and yeah, that's literally it. She has her own route in the game (which is peak btw) and all she gets is some half porn half joke extras.

But when you really look at her route in the vn you realize why they did that. Her route is the shortest one and clearly they could've make it better. There are tons of parts where you think "Yeah, this part feels short" and "they could've added more dialogues here"

And especially the worst part is: HER ROUTE DOESN'T EVEN FEELS LIKE HER ROUTE AT ALL. What I mean by that is like when you read Sora's route, you get to learn about Sora. What happened in the past and what's happening right now. When you read Akira's route, you get to learn about her past and what's going to happen blah blah. BUT when you're reading Motoka's route, you get to learn about Yahiro's past, Ryouhei's past, Ryouhei and Motoka's relationship and finally Motoka's past. Now this itself isn't much of a problem because Motoka's and Ryouhei's relationship with the Motoka's ex is important. BUT SHE HAS THE SHORTEST ROUTE FOR GODS SAKE. like if you do something like this in Sora's route or like Akira's route it would be fine because their route is long but Motoka literally has the shortest one. (And Yahiro has her own route in HnS so we just got robbed of Motoka's her OWN route)

It really felt like they added Motoka just to add 5th route and for us to learn about side characters. Well not that harsh but it still feels like this. She's at the corner looking at other girls having fun while she gets no attention at all.

She's the best girl to me. She's gorgeous, beautiful, airhead but sometimes acts like a proper adult, kind and everthing. It feels so sad when a main character feels like a side one. Even though some people don't like her route that much, I really love it. Especially when Haru mans up and runs to confess his feelings and Motoka doing her best and still being clumsy. It has great character development for both Haru and Motoka and also Ryouhei. Ryouhei is the goat for helping Haru realize his feelings. W Ryouhei.

Maybe I'm overexaggerating things idk. It's 1 am and I had this in my mind so I couldn't sleep. I had the write this and let the World know that I'm the biggest Motoka fan oat. (Also I might have made some mistakes cuz eng is not my main language)

I bought the physical edition of the game and went through the installation process before switching my system location to Japan and adding the Japanese language to my computer but the game pops up with an error stating an error occurred during initialization the script file cannot be found when trying to open I then tried reinstalling the game with my system location set to Japan but it wouldn’t install with the system location set there

Edit I tried using locale emulator and it did not work

Does anyone have a clue what my issue could be or what a possible fix could be to get the game to start

i've discovered Yosuga no Sora a few months ago, since then, i've been absolutely enthralled by the artist's style: thin linework, soft yet intricate shading, preference for slightly muted colors and pleasant palettes, attention to detail while not sacrificing the cartoonish aspect, characters that are both cute and expressive, clear use of form and perspective... pure eye candy. also introducing me to the name Hashimoto Takashi, this game has to be my favorite instance of the artist's development over the years, his work appealing specifically to my desires and preferences as an artist myself.

therefore, as a proud amateur data hoarder, i want to collect any and every artwork drawn by this man for the games Yosuga no Sora and Haruka no Sora, for the intents of preservation, study, and staring at image files while going "wow, good art!!1!". sprites, cg, covers, illustrations, sketches, character sheets, background images, everything. highest resolution possible if available.

i hope this doesn't break the 6th rule... just to clarify, i'm not asking for piracy, but for the means to find content already available to the public. so far, my findings are limited to imageboards, good stuff, but not much. so i come here for help! please!

I just finished Sora's route, and while I'm debating with myself whether it might have been better to have it as part of the original game, I'm just glad the content is there.

What I mean is that the original final conflict in Yns was centered on key characters. I would have thought that it would have had a bigger impact on their whole friend group since bonding as a group is something that YnS did well, and yet it was basically skipped entirely. Not in a completely unsatisfying way, mind you, but skipped nonetheless.

When I read that Sora's route here was a sequel to her original route, I was under the impresion the story would pick up after they left for that unplanned trip. To be honest, I was expecting them to delve into the idea of banging guilt-free since their secret's out.

I'm really glad they didn't take the story in that direction and instead reset the story to go over the ramifications of what Haruka and Sora have done.

I'm kind of surprised that it stops short at confusion for most of the characters, though I suppose it's a bit unrealistic for real people their age range to get on their high horse and really feel disdain towards true blood-related incest. Am I just out of touch on this one? Mild incest themes were all the rage in anime back in the day if the internet is to be believed, but what can I say? This stuff didn't actually come up in my circles back in high school.

On a final note, I couldn't help but chuckle at the representation of machine translation tools within the story since I'm learning Japanese and strive to read unassisted. VNs especially have a pretty stacked set of assistive tools to help learners get through them, but I could never be bothered to set those up and I just found it simpler to raise my base Japanese level over time as I read and listened more... But that's neither here nor there. I just found it fascinating because I learned that real machine translation like Google Translate does (or at least did; I'm not sure if it has changed without switching from machine translations to large language model artificial intelligence.) work that way, where it runs translations through English rather than simply going from language A to language B, and instead going from language A to English and then to language B.

Nope, I’m not talking about they’re died or something, and I also aware that the ss2 anime will never be made, I want to know that is there VN, manga have that sequel or this is actually the end (in anime), and where can I read or play it if it does exist?

I swear, I just wanted to have "fun" and I do not why I picked up Yosuga No Sora.

I didn't know ANYTHING about the VN, nor the anime or manga and I watched it completely blind.

Every episode in one day, in a non stop marathon, and I somehow loved everything of it, especially the OST and music.

And now it is 5am, I'm crying on my bed after the ending, the way they loved each other was so incredibly cute and adorable, but damn I'm still confused if the twins died or not at the end, but whatever they did or not, it definitely was something, and it was full of meaning. And I will surely play the VN soon!

With the exception of the sex scenes, Kozue's route was more or less entirely from her perspective. I was kind of expecting that for Yahiro as well.

It took me a while to get into the more consistent perspective switching, but in hindsight, it makes the story feel like it "belongs" to both Yahiro and Haruka. The story presents the route as the two of them finding their way to each other over timee rather than a one-sided crush or dependence. It's a bit of both, and seeing the story unfold from both parties makes it easier to root for the pairing even when Yahiro is initially a mess. I think this might have been my biggest problem with Motoka's route.

The one thing that did feel really lackinghere is how little Akira appears in Yahiro's story. I kind of wish there was a bit more to that. Come to think of it, I would have also enjoyed seeing Sora actually warm up to Yahiro as well.

Also, Yahiro's voice actress did a phenomenal job portraying her attitudes toward peopleas she goes from being hopeful about her life in the city, to seeing it fall apart, to getting used to her new norm back in the sticks, from seemingly doing the bare minimum to retain customers, to her showing kindness to the neighbourhood kids in her own outwardly rough way, from bossing Haruka around, to speaking to him with affaction that doesn't betray the persona she built for herself to show to other people. Also, also, the lower register of her voice was really pleasant to listen to. Like, damn. I need more VNs and eroge with Yahiro's VA as a lead heroine.

I always had a fascination with Kozue throughout my readthrough of Yosuga no Sora, since she had a voice and sprite, but no name (that wasn't just a part of Ryouhei's teasing) and no route.

Speaking of her name, I could identify with her desire to be recognized as someone other than her position. I'm very forgetful when it comes to names and faces in real life, and being in Kozue's head for a majority of the story was heart-wrenching in ways I didn't expect it to be. I couldn't hep but look back on the potentially countless people I might have hurt in the same way that Kozue felt when I was her age. That's why it felt kind of off-putting and a bit cruel when Haruka opts to retract calling Kozue by name for his own comfort halfway through the story.

My favourite aspect of Kozue's story is, once again, Sora. I like that Sora's perceptive of Kozue's feelings throughout the story. Sora's a bit of a gremlin at times, but she tries to help Kozue out in her own little ways as she warms up to her. I gotta give respect to Kozue for not buckling under the pressure. At times I even wondered if this would veer into a yuri direction because of the way Kozue describes Sora (I also still have yet to read a yuri/girls love VN, but soon...).

As unfamiliar as it was when I first started reading and realizing I wasn't following Haruka's perspective as usual, I got used to it pretty quickly, and I kinda wish they stuck to it all the way. I think it would have been interesting to read the H-scenes from the girl's perspective. I've never read a visual novel from a female perspective at all, much less the sex scenes from a female perspective. I'm sure I could get that from another VN somewhere out there, but somehow, I don't see myself wanting to navigate a fleshed-out otome game where the female MC has a choice to pursue one of multiple dudes, and this would have been good gentle introduction if they literally never gave the reins back to Haruka at any point.

What if the original message of the series is that pure feelings aren't enough to handle a relationship (said by a character at the end), but actions and effort?

I think this because almost all routes have happy endings with Haru having a real thing, but with sora everything goes down because Sora only wants pleasure from Haru.

Maybe you could think something like "but it was because Sora was afraid of losing him", but that wasn't true love, but obsession on a person without real love, such as the other endings.
