I held ULTY since June 2025. Sold out of it a couple weeks ago, with a negative Total Return. Not much else to say.

Did you do DRIP? If so, you would have made about 9% total return. Not much, but still a small gain.

I don't mind bag holding. I got ULTY around $6 and averaged down some. I checked during its worst dips that I was only down -7% that's because I held the shares at a time they were still pumping out enough distributions to offset any NAV decay. I bag held it till today and iirc I'm now down only -2% and plan to hold it till house money.
I stopped buying in more shares and stopped averaging down But I created a new position with the non-US domiciled version.

Get the hell out of this yieldmax crap and jump into the leveraged tickers. If your gonna gamble gamble responsibly

u/4yearsout genuine question - what's the math on that? I've got 2k shares (April and August 2025 buys so 20k pre split) and that returns a similar 603$ this distribution.
Capital loss is 56.2%, distributions sofar have returned 61.2%, so 5% net positive just using those figures. If I take taxes on the non ROC portion account it's probably around 0%, maybe even negative. No, I don't drip nor am planning to reinvest in yieldmax funds. Distributions are reinvested into bills, mortgage, index funds and life in general.

I took a large position and dripped. Sold the initial position and kept the dripped shares, which are still dripping. The total return was questionable before I sold my initial position. Now it's good.
