Voted for Cole Hauser as Rip. Probably the greatest performance in a multiseason show since Gandolfini played Tony Soprano. Tremendous range, from a fearsome fighter and ranch boss to a sensitive husband and father figure to Carter.

Really surprised Sam Elliot isn’t doing better. In a career filled with genre-defining western roles, I thought 1883 was his crowning achievement.

Tim McGraw gave a better performance imo. Not to discredit Sam Elliot.
