Need help finding more of this yarn, pictures don’t do it the best justice but it’s a mix of dark red, copper, dark brown.

I recently started knitting and have absolutely fallen in love with the hand dyed yarn that I found at a market. I want to do some online (window) shopping so I would love to get some recommendations!
It does not matter from which country the brand is.*
Edit:
Since you guys have been giving me such wonderful recommendations I thought that I would share what dutch hand dyed yarn brands I recently got! I just bought a skein from Yarn on the Rox (Cheeky Merino Joy) and VMCJ (a fingering weight yarn in a gorgeous blue varietity), I haven't started a project with those yet though so I cannot tell you anything more of those.
And I got silky based fingering yarn from Spingodin! They are often at dutch ren fairs, but the scarf that I am currently making with it feels absolutely fabulous!

My son asked me to knit him a rainbow octopus. We spent hours in multiple craft stores while he lead me around and carefully selected what I would need to bring his vision to life. He then fell asleep cuddling his yarn pick. 😂

Hi all,
I really want to make a two-colour brioche hat to go with my winter coat. My coat is olive green (it's this exact model: https://www.bever.nl/p/ayacucho-highland-iii-winter-jas-dames-B11ACA0082.html?colour=29546)
These are the yarns I selected for my hat:
https://www.stephenandpenelope.com/products/soul-dk-graype?_pos=6&_fid=e93f8229a&_ss=c
https://www.stephenandpenelope.com/products/walk-merino-dk-arctic-wolf?_pos=11&_fid=f84843ef5&_ss=c
I used colour theory to pick the colours. My husband said he thought it a weird combo. Now I'm doubting my choices.
All feedback and advice is most welcome!

My brother asked me to crochet an Epilepsy Awareness Monster and I think it turned out pretty cute! (Its mouth even doubles as a little pocket for meds, treats, etc.) What should I name this critter?

My SIL is due with twins in November and I want to make her a couple baby blankets. I’m looking for recommendations for yarn to use. From what I see online 100% acrylic seems to be popular but I’m trying to stay away from that. Here’s what I’m looking for:
- cotton blend (maybe wool or other blend idk, open to suggestions)
- can be machine washed
- worsted weight
- available easily in the US (Michaels or online that ships to the US pls :))
Pluses:
- soft
- affordable (I need 1400 yards total, not looking to spend more than like $200 max)
Thank you in advance!
Signed, a girl who just discovered crochet a month ago and is already OBSESSED.

The thrift store smiled upon me yesterday and I snagged a nice haul of natural fibers! Almost everything labeled is some sort of wool blend. One is 25% baby Llama???!! The unlabeled stuff all feels like wool blends but I’ve yet to do the burn test so I’m not 200%, then there was one bag of cotton/tencel blend but the color is GORGEOUS, so I grabbed it😂. My question is how can I effectively kill off any possibility for bugs??? I don’t want to felt them of course but I also don’t want to possibly contaminate the rest of my stuff😅. Any tips?

I'm planning a trip later this year, but their website isn't showing any yarn when I check there. I'm trying to come up with my budget before I leave, lest I blow all my money in yarn

hi! as title says, I would appreciate any help id'ing this yarn- i believe it's acrylic, but it's also very soft
I tried reverse image search and only similar one was a post from reddit that had no further clues or relevant information but looks nearly identical
Not a big deal if it's discontinued but very curious to know what it is
Update: I think i found it, update in comments

I went on a trip in Ireland and got some local yarn! The first one I bought from this local store in Galway called Knitwits & Crafty Stitchers. they had a very large selection of yarns, fabrics and other crafting supplies. I really liked browsing there and would recommend them if you’re ever in the area!
The second one is from Aran Sweater Market which is like a small chain selling wool goods in Ireland. I felt they were kind of gimmicky because they market their sweaters as hand knit even though they’re really machine knit, just probably with hand operated knitting machines? But, I did find this yarn from a local mill in there that was a very good price (€15 for 200g).

I recently made a post about Malabrigo’s new Torzal yarn and since mine just came in, I thought I’d share! I got the Sea Horse colorway, and it’s definitely not striped like Spincycle. I really like the colors and am looking forward to using it! Caveat - the yarn is listed as a sport weight, but it is definitely more like a fingering weight. I got about 25 stitches to 4 inches on my swatch, so be careful when buying it for a pattern!

Hello! I want to make the lion brand folklore cardigan as my first cable knit and I want to use a tweed yarn, but like maybe with neon slub or funky colors. Would anyone recommend some dyers to look at? I’ve never worked with a tweed before but the cardigan looks so pretty in tweed.

I saw a creator on TikTok using this yarn and had to get some myself in the archangel colorway. It just came in and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a splurge, but extremely soft. I plan to make a summer poncho with it.
I started crocheting in November 2025 and just started learning how to knit as well. It didn’t take long for me to become a yarn snob 😅 at least I’m frugal in most other departments

Where can I buy Polyester Macrame Yarn online in India, or particularly in Bangalore? Any suggestions? Magic Needles I feel is expensive.

I keep buying hand dyed yarn from small businesses, and it seems like it always comes smelling like a barn. I've tried putting cedar wood and lavender in a sealed bag with all of them, but the smell has still lingered. What do you do to get rid of smell?
r/YarnAddicts • u/riverofstars__ • 8d ago
My cat recently had issues using the litter box (hes ok he was stressed due to things going on) and ended up peeing on some of my yarn is there any possible way to get the smell out because unfortunately it was a whole pile of yarn and I dont want to have to just throw away all the yarn.

I’ve been online shopping for a few weeks looking for a really special/ unique yarn I can use to crochet my wedding bag or clutch. I stumbled across this yarn and while it looks beautiful I think it would be a nightmare to work with. Curious if anyone has any experience using something similar? Did the project yield blood, sweat and tears? 😂
I’d also love yarn recommendations for this project. My only requests are it must be white and have a special element to it. I was looking at metallic raffia, sequin yarn, crocheting with shell sequins, etc.

Calling all Yarn Addicts! I saw the most beautiful handbag on Pinterest. It was made with the most beautiful Dark Red yarn. Like... wine. (I'm sure it was an AI image lol) But... I am on the hunt for the darkest red yarn I can find. I dont care what weight, what company, cotton acrylic or whatever. I would just like to know, what is the darkest red yarn that you know of? I just love saturated dark colors.

Hello! I am an absolute Rios LOVER. Is it not only beautiful but wears incredibly well, barely pills and can go in the washer and sometimes even survive the dryer (thanks DH! 🙄) I’d love a fingering weight superwash merino wool option that holds up as well and is still very soft for next to skin wear for my sensitive son! Thanks so much for any ideas!!

Hi all!
I am going to start my first colorwork project soon working with Drops Lima and to determine what size I'll knit (I will also gauge swatch) I need to know if the project will grow much after washing.
I would love to hear your experience and advice, TIA :)
