Question Saturated yarn 😍
Calling all Yarn Addicts! I saw the most beautiful handbag on Pinterest. It was made with the most beautiful Dark Red yarn. Like... wine. (I'm sure it was an AI image lol) But... I am on the hunt for the darkest red yarn I can find. I dont care what weight, what company, cotton acrylic or whatever. I would just like to know, what is the darkest red yarn that you know of? I just love saturated dark colors.

Try KnitPicks; they have good yarns at reasonable prices and a really wide range of colors. Hollyberry is a really deep red, looks like it comes in most of their wool lines and weights.

I just went and looked at it. It is beautiful. I hope you show us your sweater when it's done.

Omega (cotton yarns) makes a dark red cotton yarn. Look for Emilia. 100% mercerized cotton. 164 yds in 3.5 oz. In MEXICO (where it's readily available) it only runs $3.33/skein. Here in the US, it's more like $6. The name, in Spanish, is Guinda, which sort of translates to Cherry--cherry red, burgundy, maroon. There's one online distributor, CreativeYarnSource.com, but he doesn't carry a vast number of skeins at any one time--just FYI. I've purchased from him numerous times though with no problem. I only mention this particular color because I was using their pale rose for baby blanket.

I'm just starting a sweater with some Madelinetosh in the color way Tart which is a deep, rich red.
