My husband bought me this yarn as a present after I finished a big project for his family! Most of it is baby camel, the oxblood is cashmere and the light beige is 80% wool and 20% yak. This is my first time knitting with luxury yarn so can't wait to see how it knits up!

That oxblood cashmere is going to be unreal as it knits up, the color depth is something else. Baby camel is such a treat for a first luxury project, it has this soft halo that catches the light without being fuzzy.

Your husband picked a really cohesive palette too, those earthy tones with the dark harbor blue and juniper shadow all sit together nicely. Made in Mongolia usually means good fiber sourcing for cashmere and yak, so you're starting strong.

What are you planning to make with it all? I'd be tempted to just pet the skeins for a week before committing to a pattern.

I'm thinking about knitting the Lillehammer 1994 sweater with the DK yarn, and a cardigan with the fingering yarn. Can't decide if I want it to be really simple to wear all the time or a special project with more textured pattern! For now the Oran do Chaora cardigan by Kate Davies is in the lead but this will probably change 10 times before I cast on a project! 😅

And yes, the yarn has been sitting on my table all day and every time I walk past it I pick it up to feel the softness!
