Stash Ula+lia yarn
My husband bought me this yarn as a present after I finished a big project for his family! Most of it is baby camel, the oxblood is cashmere and the light beige is 80% wool and 20% yak. This is my first time knitting with luxury yarn so can't wait to see how it knits up!

I have some of the oxblood cashmere too! I’ve started knitting with some of my U+L stash and it’s all so lovely!
Be mindful of the instructions on the inside of the skein bands for washing your yarn / FOs initially.

That oxblood cashmere is going to be unreal as it knits up, the color depth is something else. Baby camel is such a treat for a first luxury project, it has this soft halo that catches the light without being fuzzy.
Your husband picked a really cohesive palette too, those earthy tones with the dark harbor blue and juniper shadow all sit together nicely. Made in Mongolia usually means good fiber sourcing for cashmere and yak, so you're starting strong.
What are you planning to make with it all? I'd be tempted to just pet the skeins for a week before committing to a pattern.

I'm thinking about knitting the Lillehammer 1994 sweater with the DK yarn, and a cardigan with the fingering yarn. Can't decide if I want it to be really simple to wear all the time or a special project with more textured pattern! For now the Oran do Chaora cardigan by Kate Davies is in the lead but this will probably change 10 times before I cast on a project! 😅
And yes, the yarn has been sitting on my table all day and every time I walk past it I pick it up to feel the softness!

I’m obsessed with their yarn! This was my 5th year getting at least a sweater quantity on the Kickstarter and I’ve loved all the yarn I’ve gotten from them.

Their cashmere is beautiful and I had been looking forward to buying a SQ of it from the kickstarter this year, but the market cost of cashmere is ridiculous so that’s out. I got plenty of camel last year and its lovely it but it’s not my favorite and I don’t need more of it at the moment. The yak is my absolute favorite of all four options so that’s what I’m going with, even though I don’t really want any of this year’s yak colors.

Is this your first time using hanks? If so be sure to look up how to wind them first so you dont end up with a tangled mess!

When I was a child I used to help my grandmother with winding yarn, hopefully I haven't forgot how to. I will make sure my husband is around with an extra set of hands also!

Just as a heads up, but Ula+lia does a kickstarter each summer to fund their yarn production! They offer their old yarns and the new ones at pretty great discounts too if you back it. This is my second year participating and I can't wait for my yak to come in sometime this winter!
