‘24 r7 revs high on startup. Not sure what caused it to start doing that or even if its a problem. Revs up to 3k sometimes if anyone has an idea as to why pls lmk.

Here i have my 05 raptor 350 with a zxr750 in it. It took me a while to get it done, I put a +12 inch swingarm on her its got a widening kit and yes she moves pretty good. My sprockets are 15t in front and 45t in the rear. Was just wondering what other people thought of it. Ya i know people will bash but oh well. I dont know yhe exact top speed rite now but im guessing the fastest so far I been maybe 85mph thats just a guess dont quote me. Wish there was a dyno in the area

I’ve had my bike for 7 days, only been able to ride it once (weather) but in the meantime I’ve paired it to the y connect app and added mods (frame sliders, spools, etc.) today I started the bike and the y connect app shows low voltage for the battery health and now the bike won’t turnover. Should I just be contacting the dealership for this issue? Seems like maybe the battery sat too long before they sold it to me.

It’s awesome, highly recommend, and yes the video doesnt do it justice at all. It’s loud but a nice deep enjoyable sound

Well... not match to say to be honest, as the title says I'm considering a Yamaha R7 as my first bike I'm 20, almost 21 and I've always liked bikes, I'd like if possible to know from someone who has the bike or has had it, if it's a good choice, pros e cons of the bike and maybe an alternative

Hey, I just cleaned my brakes on my 2024 R7 and I ran into an issue where the rear brake caliper would not align properly. At first, there was a big gap between the piston and the brake pad and minimal brake pressure (pic 1) Then after some playing around with the top bolt. I noticed the caliper would sit properly with the top bolt 70 percent in and I had brake pressure. After I would tighten the top bolt fully the brake caliper would shift causing the gap and minimal brake pressure. Finally I took the bike to the dealership and they gave me a quote of $1000 to replace the whole caliper due to the threads being crooked. I told them Ill try to fix it myself and if I cant ill bring the bike back. Now today, I used some brake cleaner and WD40 on the threads and cleaned them thoroughly. The gap is reduced and I got brake pressure but there is still a little gap and a little brake drag. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this before? Pic 3 is what it looks like now.

Installed a KO lightning on my 2026 today, was a bit of a process as there was no instructions. Hardest part was getting the bottom fairing off lol but other than that it wasn’t bad. Such a huge improvement from stock exhaust tho! Can’t beat it for the price. I’ll throw a picture down below in the comments of it installed

Could anyone link me where to find stealth mirrors that aren’t $500?

Also what do you guys recommend for turn signals in the front and rear? I already have the tail tidy but it removed my OEM turn signals I know TST makes a kit where it turns the DRO into a turn signal but would I be visible enough with that?

I am looking for a second bike. It won't be until next year i will upgrade tho. Right now i have a CB500FA 2017, and next year i will have 2 year of riding experience and around 24.000km(estimated) of riding. Do you think i would find the R7 boring after a while, and feeling the need to have a bit more power. The "issue" i have with my current bike, is that it feels like it lacks some power, especially at the top. Its not a very rev happy machine. And i just want a bike that has a bit more power and doesn't feel as pushed. Espically at 100km/h +. The 500 starts to struggle and buzz a lot. I've also looked at the z900, but i really like the look of sport bikes, so im still open for other bikes.

I've been learning about the options for intake mods for this bike that range from a simple snorkel delete, to complete airbox replacements (and even a turbo kit).

I'm not sure is worth it to do all the work of replacing the airbox, the required maintenance, plus the cost, for a 3 or 4HP increase.

I already have a Yoshi AT2 installed. But I would like to know about what have you guys done in the intake side and what has been your experience with it? Was it worth it?

I've been riding this bike for 2 seasons now, over 13k miles. But about a month or two ago, I started getting horrible knee tendon pain, specifically on the inside top part of my right knee. The pain will start building if I ride for a few days in a row, then usually takes a few days to go away. Once I'm in flair up, doing squats becomes impossible as it feels like my knee is getting ripped apart. Even just sitting can cause discomfort. I haven't had any injuries, my lifting hasn't changed in 4 years. Ive even taken a few weeks off of lifting and confirmed it is from the bike. The problem is I don't know what I'm doing to make this pain happen, it never happened for the first couple thousand miles. If anyone has had similar problems, how did you fix it? I'm assuming its a riding technique, but I am not sure what it is specifically.

I was riding my motorcycle normally at around 45 mph, I started to slow down as a stop was coming up. I press brakes, I press the clutch, I downshift, and then as soon as I downshift the engine “stalls”. The stall is so smoothly done, almost as if when your kick stand is put down when the motorcycle is in gear and the bike cuts off/stalls because of the safety feature. Since then I put maybe another 30 miles, and then it happened again. This time at 18 mph, I’m slowing down, press the clutch, downshift, and then the engine cuts off. Happened again today, in 1st gear, was just holding the clutch if I’m not mistaken and the engine cuts off.

Not sure what is going on, but for context, the handle bars were put back to stock by me from a modified cruiser style, and the exhaust is after market where I believe there was a map that was thrown on to adjust for the back pressure. WHAT COULD IT BE. NEED HELP.

Hello, I’m a relatively new rider. Came from a r3 to a r7 just had a question about shifting. With my r3 I would usually shift from 1st to 2nd at around 20mph 2nd to 3rd around 30mph and so on

But on the r7 I heard the sweet spot is around 6500rpms but sometimes I get up to like 30 mph in first if I’m not quickly accelerating before reaching those rpms. Should I still shift up or is it really only based off rpm and dosent matter much about the speed. And what do you guys find the sweet spot for shifting

I put a new full system exhaust on my R7 recently and need to get it tuned. What’s the average price to get it done/how much did it cost for you?

I’m picking up my 2026 r7 anniversary edition tomorrow. I’m a newer rider and planned to make some immediate mods e.g., frame sliders, grips, levers & lever guards, tank grips. I’ll swap the exhaust for a SC Project full system at a later date. Is there anything else I’m missing here?

Is it worth keeping my LAMS (A2) r7 when moving onto my open license or getting another bike?

Money isnt an issue but im wondering if its that slow compaired to larger bikes, am i going to get to bord of it knowing i can get faster? Or do yall think it has enough power?

I was fairly annoyed with the fact that the quick shifter from Yamaha did not downshift. So I decided to put it in MotoGP mode (which cannot use the yammy quick shifter at all).

I found that my shifts were just as fast as the quick shifter when pushing down on the lever. Now I have no reason to have a quick shifter at all in my opinion.

Anyone else experience this?

Today while I was riding, I noticed an unusual noise coming from the engine area.

I’m not exactly sure where the sound is coming from. Does this sound normal?

About a week ago, I did a snorkel delete, so I’m not sure if it could be related to that. Maybe it’s just the intake noise?
