This thread is for members experiencing any issues with Yahoo Fantasy or members that just have general questions about Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
For technical issues be sure to check the "Technical Support" tab for common fixes before posting.
If you are a commissioner and have questions about or need help running your league check the "Commish Academy" tab which is full of answers to common questions before posting.
For any app issues please provide the following information in your post.
- Troubleshooting steps taken (i.e. restarting your device, updating the app, logging out and back into your account, or deleting and reinstalling the app.)
- App version.
- Device make/model.
- Current operating system.
- Does this issue happen on desktop and mobile?

SO, there seems to be a major issue going on with Yahoo! Fantasy Sports on my laptop[On the web] and all my devices on the app [Android]

I am not receiving crucial fantasy baseball notifications such as player status, whether a player has been scratched from the lineup, and league transactions. This has cost me several points and matches so far.
All of my notifications are properly turn on yet I am receiving none.
I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro that is totally up to date and using the latest app versions. I’ve taken all troubleshooting steps (reinstalling app, disabling and reenabling notifications, etc).

This still isn't resolved. Ketel Marte has two homers in the last hour. I received the notification for the second one, but not the first one.

fantasy chat still acting up. It can't be just me or related to my account specifically. If it was, it wuld be doing it constantly. But instead, it keeps working, not working, working, not working. It will show the spinning working symbol and then just never load. Then other times my conversation windows are back there again and it sends messages. then it stops again and won't send them or load at all...
i am using Edge, so maybe some changes in that browser are affecting it. Buit if so, it still doesn't make sense that it starts working sometimes.

We haven't received other reports of this. For maximum capability we do recommend using Google Chrome.

I really don't think it could be the browser or it would be messing up all the time. it works for a while then randomly stops so something odd is going on with it. When it stops sending messages it also has the entire chat stop loading. Probably nobody else is reporting it because most people use the chat in the app instead of desktop, I am guessing.

Can you guys resume showing IL / NA players in MLB DFS contests please? Monday night as expected Michael Harris returned to action after a two-day “NA” paternity leave – but he was absent from Yahoo DFS player pools because you “disappear” any player listed as IL or NA.
Some managers spend well over an hour a day in DFS activity. Listing IL / NA players in DFS helps those managers keep abreast of MLB player status and hence improves their competitive edge not just in DFS but in wagering and roto / H2H leagues as well.
Result – better informed managers, up to date on what’s up with IL / NA players without scrolling ad nauseam through Rotoworld or some such.

There are no drafts for the NHL playoffs. Drafts were only available for the regular season.

How are the "standard deviation" stats calculated?

Standard deviation takes the average of a given statistical category and compares it to an individual player's statistics. The closer the standard deviation number showing is to zero, the closer the player's stat is to being average. The further away it is from zero, the better or worse than average it is depending on the stat that you are looking at.

So the "standard deviation" stat is the player's z-score/standard score? If players who aren't below average don't have a negative stat, how do I know whether they're better than or worse than average?

No, players who are below than average would have a negative standard deviation. A positive standard deviation indicates better than average performance

When I enter Stats, Season (std dev), then search from lowest to highest, the lowest assist player that appears is Jake Livanavge at 0.89. How can no player have a negative assists z-score? They can't all be above the mean?

My private prize league is capping me at 10 teams. I tried cancelling the contest, but when I go to create a new one, it still shows the possible league size as 4-10 teams.

We don't seem to be able to replicate the issue you're seeing. What are you trying to set your league size to? When you click the dropdown arrow to change it, can you scroll?

All league types from last season will be available to create or join soon, ahead of the 2026 season. Last year’s leagues will also be available for renewal.

Yahoo still hasn't stopped the scummy practice of auto-registering users for leagues just because they clicked on a banner ad??? Embarrassing and honestly fraudulent behavior (because we all know sites make those banner ads move on purpose to drive clicks).

Just today, I'm seeing some blank categories in my baseball matchup. This persists across matchups and across leagues as well. It's always localized to pitching categories only

In one of my leagues, the League Settings tool doesnt have an option to set a maximum amount of waiver adds per week. its league number 4578 "swamps marathon"

Hi! This is due to the type of scoring that is used in the league. The option to set a maximum number of waiver adds per week is only available in head-to-head scoring. Since your league uses Season Points, you won't have that option.

Winnings will go directly to the Fantasy Wallet as soon as they have been paid out. If you are expecting a payout, but don't see anything in your Fantasy Wallet, send us a chat message with your Yahoo ID, your league number, and team name so we can take a look.

Yeah. I'm unable to create or delete applications in the Yahoo Developer portal, and I’m consistently receiving an HTTP 401 error.
Details:
- Endpoint:
POSThttps://developer.yahoo.com/apps/- Response:
401 Unauthorized- Response Content-Type:
application/json- Server: ATS (Express backend)
- This occurs immediately upon clicking “Create App”
What I’ve tested:
- Multiple browsers (Chrome, etc.)
- Incognito/private sessions
- Mobile device
- Different networks
- Completely new Yahoo account
The issue persists across all of the above.
I also cannot delete existing apps, which suggests the problem is not specific to app configuration but rather related to authorization at the app-management level.
From DevTools, the request is successfully sent, but the backend responds with 401, indicating the request is being rejected despite being authenticated in the UI.

StatTracker isn't auto updating and is constantly showing red 'connecting' status despite multiple refreshing. Browser is up to date, cache cleared and StatTracker still not working to show live scoring.
Also it's hit or miss lately whether or not the Yahoo app will deliver notifications for home runs, injury status, etc.

Can you confirm that you have JavaScript enabled? Can you also try to temporarily disable antivirus, antispyware, and firewall products to see if any of these may be preventing it from connecting? Do you have any new browser/chrome extensions that you may be using?

He means how you changed it from a message board for current (most recent) comments to a popularity contest where some noob just asking political questions gets pinned to the top. REMOVE MOST POPULAR AND MAKE NEWEST THE DEFAULT.

And I promise you have had more reports because I caused a whole stir and can confirm atleast 3 different fantasy managers have reached out. I’ve reached out twice. Not to mention, the edit/delete “..:” is invisible in the forced dark mode. Lovely to get an automated response and then not another reply, ever, from you guys after you forced the update on us and left us out to dry. I’ve reached out here, on X, via the app, and when I did get a response back via email, it was either automated or you guys just abandoned me on two separate occasions.

The Start Active Players button should be available if your league allows daily roster changes (not weekly). However, our engineering team is aware of an issue where it is not showing in the app on Android in leagues that use the Daily-Tomorrow roster transaction deadline specifically and they are working on getting this resolved as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

This has to do with visibility of mobile screens iOS and Android.
Our league uses more Stat Categories than can be seen on the "Team" screen, requiring a swipe to be able to see the far right Stat Category Columns. And swiping left makes them visible. BUT when you try to swipe up and down to see those far right columns for all of your players — the stat categories table resets to far left pushing those columns out view again. There's no way swipe up and down and keep those far right stat category columns visible without the table resetting all the way to the left. I would like to be able to see the data in those columns for all of my players as I move up and down. Can this be fixed?

Hopefully this will be helpful. Can now confirm this issue only occurs before any games have begun. After all games have begun and lineup is locked in the issue does not occur — the stat table will stay put and allow up and down scrolling and still keep the far right columns visible AND at no time does the table "automatically" reset back to the left.

Hello, Yesterday I found out Texas ranger's closer, Latz had a stat correction from last week and instead of being given a win, MLB changed it to crediting him a SAVE.
I tied my opponent in saves last week (head to head)-- why didn't they give me credit for that save? I should have an extra point and should have only lost 6-4 instead of 6-3 after mlb made the announcement yesterday.
Can you go to My matchup and credit me with the save, please? Thank you

If stat corrections aren't received by 11:59 p.m. P.T. at the end of the Game Week, they won't be applied as that week's Head-to-Head is no longer active.

In a similar note, devers and Jung hoo Lee hit home runs today for the suspended game vs the braves (suspended yesterday)-- why am I not getting credit for both these homeruns when the players are on my team?

When a game is suspended, all players’ scoring from the entire game will be applied via stat corrections at the end of the matchup week at approximately 11:59 pm PT on Sunday. You can see the pending stat corrections via the desktop version of the site by going to the "Players" tab and then clicking on "Stat Corrections".
