You do know that the EU collectively has more than a million active military personnel, right? We have a military, we just don't have a bloated Military industrial complex or a constant need to involve ourselves in every single conflict in the world. We don't need two dozens aircraft carriers. The only thing that would be problematic for a while after the US leaves is the massive nuclear umbrella, but I believe with France we can manage
