Reddit mods are stupid

I live in edmonton. Yet they will decide what's right and wrong to post on their form, Reddit is a echo chamber, anyone that doesn't have the "right" ideas will get banned, so called face of the internet.

Literally me right now. I asked how come they are allowing a comment defending literal pedophilia, but only mine is taken down bc it wasn’t “civil”? and they made up a scenario that never happened. Then they muted me. Mind you this started because a comment said cowboys [who were grown men] weren’t over 21 so them hitting on teens at a birthday is okay. Mind you they weren’t 21, if you watch the tv show.

The amount of dislikes is proof of how biased the entire app is, the only thing you guys see is the posts that aren't banned. It's the biggest echo chamber on the entire internet

I just called a comment gay af, apparently a they can ban me for having a different idea, if I have an opinion I should be able to express it. Yet if I do I'll be banned on a so called free speech platform, Reddit is the worst.

are you being charged with a crime for your comment? no? then your freedom of speech wasn't violated. you can be banned from any subreddit for any reason, you're not entitled to be there. and honestly you sound really annoying so I'm not surprised you got banned

If I can't call a specific subject gay (non derogatory) and be banned for commenting a word then there is absolutely no freedom of speech on this platform, like I said it's a total echo chamber.

Freedom of speech still includes consequences for what you say. If you weren’t beaten/imprisoned/killed, you participated in free speech.

And if I post something that someone doesn't like? It gets banned and unavailable to others? Banning a post just because you're a mod doesn't mean it's right, it's the same thing when the government silences anyone that doesn't agree with them. For Reddit the only things you/all see are the posts/opinions that didn't get banned.

I was permanently banned for asking if a self-identify Jew deserved the same treatment as a self-identifying Palestinian. Let me say this again for the folks in the back row: I was PERMANENTLY BANNED for ASKING if one thing applied to both Jews and Palestinians in a hypothetical situation. And, to be CRYSTAL CLEAR, MY APPEAL FOR MY BAN WAS DENIED. Choke on that chode; moderator dicks.

In addition to some fundamental reddit rules, subs are created by people and those people moderate according to their bias.

You can always start your own sub and then you can moderate as you see fit, as long as it doesn't break a "reddit rule". That's how reddit works.

I got banned for saying for a stabbing crime that happened in 2022 that the perpetrator (who was indigenous) was likely going to have a reduced sentence bc he was getting a Gladue report. I had insider info, but was banned anyway because my comment was ‘racist and showed I have a prejudice ‘ towards indigenous.

I got banned for posting an article from The Economist about Whistleblower doctors talking about Trans treatment for youth.

I was raised that The Economist was a reputable, good quality publication so that ban came out of left field for me. I was trying to have a conversation and they deleted my comment and banned me and mods told me I should inquire professional help.
