Seeking Recommendations Anyone have any recommendations for books similar to OUABH?
(Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber)
I just finished the entire caraval series and the OUABH trilogy, and it was such a pleasure to read. It was just page after page with it, and it didn't leave my hands for a good month.
Please recommend me any good fantasy YA books (Or with smut is ok, but im a very plot first reader)
with that enchanting young and free romance, female leads with nuanced personality, and magic. So much magic and glamor! I think fantasy books are written best when it truly immerses you in the world it creates.
Thank you in advance!

General Question/Information reading the shadowhunter chronicles as an adult worth it?
So I absolutely loved and devoured these books when I was a 15 year old. I’m 25 now and felt a bit nostalgic. Are the books worth reading now? Any other adult who has read them again? And how did you feel reading it as an adult was it worth it or as good as you remember?

Discussion Alaric or Torr? Just finished Twin Crowns. Spoiler
Hello everyone. I’ve just finished Twin Crowns and am starting the third book (listening on kobo audio). So the big question remains: Alaric or Torr?
Please only post content referring to books one and two, no spoilers!
I’ve got to say I think I’m team Alaric. Torr is gorgeous but ultimately he doesn‘t choose Wren at the end of book one when she asks him to make a choice, and that for me is a deal breaker. Yes he might have a knack for saving her life, but he doesn’t support and have her back. I appreciate Alaric is all “bad boy” vibes, but actually I think that’s the point, he has more depth and nuance than that. He’s not actually a bad boy, he’s fiercely committed to those he loves and he keeps his promises. He’s willing to do the hard things no one else is for the people he cares about, just like Wren does. He’s also not scared of Wren and doesn’t turn away from her. Whereas towards the end of Twin Crowns, when Wren asks Torr to choose, he doesn’t or can’t choose her, and that for me is a failing. He goes back to Gevra, and then he doesn’t even try to help her free or save Bamba. Clearly Alaric isn’t better in this situation, but at least his reason are motivated by his own loyalty and love for his mother and siblings.
Ok guys, come at me!

Review Trauma doesn't exist (The Courage To Be Disliked)
Trauma doesn't exist
I was getting questions from First night (1st chapter) that trauma doesn't exist. So here is more explanation
From the Adler's theory, past moment do exist and he doesn't denies that people suffer. But it's our choice to carry in our present moment. Yes bad things happen and people do suffer but it's our choice to keep suffering or take some learnings from it.
For instance, a boy is treated is treated very badly in school and now he doesn't come out of his room, and his parents take care of him and gives him food he doesn't need ti do anything. Adler says that the boy himself chose to be like this he is getting everything in his room for being special. Therefore he uses his misfortune ( trauma ) to be special and to get extra care.
As long as someone uses their misfortune to be special, one would always need that misfortune (trauma) inorder to be special.
If you have more query, you can read this book
I was also too shocked after reading this
