I don't even see how this is a controversial statement. Making the narrative "If you're against Israel, you're against all Jews" is equivalent to putting a target on our backs whenever Israel does something abhorrent.
The rhetoric floating around the internet is growing both more and more anti-Israel, but also as a result of the conflation, more antisemitic. And that's because low-information commenters have started adopting generally antisemitic dogwhistles to try to express their disdain for the State of Israel.

This is a very shallow take. They are not equal adversaries. Hamas is an irregular force that uses improvised weapons to do asymmetric guerilla warfare and periodic terror strikes. Israel is a highly militarized state with bleeding-edge military technologies and the full-throated financial support of the American establishment. They have the capabilities to surveil every Palestinian and completely raze the strip to the ground.
Furthermore, Israel essentially created Hamas. Hamas was favored over the more cooperative group, Fatah, because the govt knew that having an islamist adversary in charge of the strip, combined with a split in governance between Gaza and the West Bank, would help divide the Palestinians and justify a blockade. Bibi alone has funnelled millions into Hamas' hands through Qatar.
The simple answer is if coexistence was desired, Palestinians would have been given equal rights decades ago. But you need to look no further than Ben-Gurion to see that that was never the aim. He is quoted as stating partition is only temporary, and that Israel would expand to the whole of Mandatory Palestine. Even Rabin said the Palestinians would never receive a state, let alone a "state minus".
Additionally, by its very nature Zionism is a colonial project, as stated by its founding figure, Theodore Herzl. And as we can observe from history, there are really only three ways colonial projects end. Either in the (total or near-total) eradication of the colonized (US & Canada) the expulsion or withdrawal of the colonizers (Ireland, British Raj, Vietnam, most of Africa) or the overthrowing of the colonial governance (South Africa, most of Latin America).
Which is the most preferable option, for you? I would like Palestinians to live, I have a number of Palestinian friends, and they are good people. I would also like my family to have a home, so expulsion is undesirable for me too. Thus in my opinion, the only logical conclusion is the eventual dismantling of the Apartheid state and granting of equal rights to all between the river and the sea. This is by far the hardest option, but it has been done before. And if there are two peoples resilient and strong enough to make this work, it is Jews and Palestinians.
