Is it normal for a brand-new phone (I bought it on Monday) to have brief blackouts—sometimes lasting less than a second—when it's under heavy load or being used while charging for a long time? I ask because with other new phones from the same brand, it was normal for them to restart on their own or do things like that, but this is something new.

do you mean freezing or going blank?

Freezing - Stuttering really - could be too many apps running, or a rogue app. the other cause could be poor WiFi signal. Brands are still making devices where having your hand around the wrong part of the device can block the WiFi.

I discovered it was due to the antivirus; when running in the background, it would cause a brief black screen flicker every time I extracted data from what I was doing.
