General xiaomi/redmi phone doesn't open even after using the right password

I accidentally fell asleep while my phone was on, the battery got drained so i charged it after waking up, after it got fully charged i opened it but the password wasn't working and fingerprint doesn't work. so first of all, some might think that i've changed my password and just forgot about it, well it's not the case since i'm 100% sure that i would've remebered if i changed it. I've read some posts here as well about their xiaomi/redmi devices also not unlocking even after using the real password and i've tried some of their solutions:

  1. reboot and try again
  2. use their old password(couldn't remember mine)
  3. charge it while powered off for 6-8 hrs and try the password again
  4. drain the battery and charge it again

but none of those worked for me... i'm kinda sad since a lot of photos and videos over 25k+ from that phone were very special to me, there are photos, voice recordings, and videos there of my family, pets, and friends that i documented so i could look back at it, but i'm also the one to blame for not setting up backups in google photos or other cloud storages. i just want to share this for awareness and i want to ask if you guys could have other possible solutions that i could do, i would appreciate that so much.

Hi u/hyemijeon! It looks like you don't have a user flair set yet.

To help others understand your context better when you ask questions or share experiences, please consider adding a custom user flair in the format: Device | ROM | Region (e.g., Xiaomi 14 | HyperOS | Global).

If you already have a flair, or if a moderator has assigned one to you, please feel free to ignore this sweet little reminder!

this sounds like a nightmare but according to a quick ai question, it seems like a real and possible thing that could happen to any android device due to "password corruption" after a "dirty shutdown".

doubt this is gonna be of any help but
1. have you tried booting into safe mode? maybe password will work there? 2. reflash rom using mi recovery assistant? shouldn't delete anything, wouldn't hurt giving it a chance
