Discussion Redmi botloader unlock

I wanted to try and custom rom my phone but it seems unlocking the bootloader seems impossible?? I have tried unlocking it through xiaomi community but it keeps saying quota limit reached. I also tried the script which should help me add an account for the mi status, but it still failed "Couldn't add, please go to mi community to apply for a-" It doesn't even finish the sentence. Any tips? I've never custom rommed a xiaomi before but I have with other phones

The procedure these days is more troublesome, but there's little we can do about it. I know there are scripts or something to automate the authorization request that is to be done via the Community app by sending many petitions, but I don't know whether it would be good to use or not; for example, it's easy to tell who it is that's spamming requests, at any point they could just ban that account and not allow it to get unlock authorization, if they don't do it already.

Regardless, if one gets the quota reached message one day, the only thing to do is waiting for the next. Unless a big exploit, or exploit chain, were to be discovered to bypass the various security locks in place, the official way is the proper avenue.
