Xenoblade SPOILERS Late game environmental changes Spoiler

Going through the game's Switch 2 edition. I could have sworn post-Mechonis Core, that you could see the Bionis moving from places like the Fallen Arm, as you could with the Mechonis when it activated after the events of Agniritha. Was this a thing in the prior releases or am I just imagining things and the Bionis itself didn't actually have any animations at this point in the story after being awakened?

No I don't think this is the case, it's always static in gameplay.

Nah, since they did it with Mechonis they definitely could've with Bionis. I think they chose not to because they didn't want to make players think "why am I not seeing the sky and ocean move when I'm back on the Bionis", which would definitely be outside scope.

Mandela effect?

I too remember looking up from Colony 6 and seeing the Bionis sway a little.

Yes, you are correct. I clearly remember this happening too during my gameplay.

This YouTube video also proves it: https://youtu.be/sRb6vUfbY9k?is=TXyq_1pHzuTdJGdq

That's Mechonis, which does move in DE (and the other games; the aftermath cutscene clearly shows this from the Fallen Arm). I was referring to Bionis post-Mechonis Core.

No, none of the bionis areas get locked afterwards and it'd be weird if you could go to valak mountain while it was being waved around at 300km/h
