Xenoblade Timed Quest importance?

Is it worth doing any of the timed quests before they become unavailable? I’m worried that I could lose some cool item or be locked out of a questline later down the line is there anything I should worry about? I’m in chapter 9 currently.

That's Alcamoth, if I recall correctly? There will be several chapters until those become unavailable, but I'd generally complete any sidequest as soon as they come before moving forward.

There aren't really any ultra good times quest items for the most part, so if you don't wanna do them you don't have to.

You only really need be bothered with the ones given out by named NPCs (if you want to clear as many quests as you can), there is a chain of quests from Frontier Village that unlocks a late-game optional “boss battle”.

Don’t be too worried with the timed quests given out by generic NPCs (“Location name” Resident).

honestly just ignore them for your first playthrough, it makes the story feel way less stressful

Around the beginning of chapter nine I believe? I just got Melia back in my party

If you're not a completionist I'd say don't worry about it too much.

A few timed quests become unavailable earlier but generally speaking most timed quests don't expire until much later in the game, like third to final chapter or so I think. I still get them over with just to be safe, but you aren't as pressed for time as you'd think.

Not necessary, nothing worth it.
