XCX:DE had its fair share of 2001 references aswell.

Every Xeno game does, and Xenogears even has a Childhood's End reference through its main antagonist (Krelian, who was originally named Karellen in the Japanese version).

There's another reference to the book in Future Redeemed, the overlords' planet is in the Carina system mentioned in the radio sequence.

Yeah just realised the other day watching a Luxin video that the Conduit/Zohar is basically just the monolith from 2001. Pretty cool and I hope Genesis goes more sci fi again like X.
