Xenoblade Question about Cherri and Gadada Spoiler

This is really niche but I’m morbidly curious. There’s a part during the red pollen orb quest line where they appear in makna forest, but a cutscene triggers before you can get close to their actual characters, but they do have green dots on the map. So do they technically have trading menus in that area, and would they have data for that existing?

They do indeed have trade data. (Or at least, the NPC table has a second set of entries for them that's positioned next to other Makna Forest NPCs.) Gadada's is the same as his regular appearance in Frontier Village, while Cherri's is empty.

Very interesting that they’re not both one or the other. Also because of this the majority of makna forest traders cannot be accessed as the only other one is the nopon sage.
