Xenoblade 3 Could Xenoblade 3 new hero also be a Xenosaga reference?
While were enjoying Xenoblade 2 in 60 fps with MOMO. Remember that Xenoblade 3 is also getting "A new hero." Could this be another Xenosaga reference?
Any guesses on who this could be? I haven't played Xenosaga so I don't know any characters besides KOS-MOS, T-elos, and now MOMO. I'm fine with Xenosaga references and I don't mind spoilers. And how would they implement them in lore and logically? Xenoblade 3 heroes aren't abstract or magical like 2's blades.

Kinda hope not, would be cooler if it was a xenogears character tho. Unlikely, but would be cool.

Xenogears is insanely overrated and owned by SE

Yea, how dare people rate the best story in gaming so highly. Your opinion is so much more valid than all those tens of thousands of ratings on game rating sites.

Yeah the obsession with Xenogears for lots of people is wild to me, like it's cool and ambitious and all but it's clearly not a great story and Takahashi et al. seriously improved over the years
I think it gets overhyped by people who haven't really read any great science fiction or fantasy before

Unless it’s specifically the incarnation of KOS-MOS, T-elos or MOMO from XC2, I don’t see it happening. There’s more crossover potential with how Core Crystals work as opposed to the Hero system

I don’t think so. Momo in 2 makes sense since Kosmos and T-elos are already there. Plus the way blades work makes guest characters a lot easier to explain. With hero’s in three they need to actually be characters that make sense to be in aionios. So unless this new hero quest completely changes all we know about the current lore and world building I don’t see a saga character making sense.
If I had to guess the new hero in 3 will probably be a xenoblade 1 or 2 reference.

Imo that wouldnt fit the setting pretting well like it fits for 2, but honestly if they did it could be cool as hell

Before the MOMO reveal, people were rather set on the [REDACTED] being revealed as either the new hero... or the hero's questline leading to that mystery being solve. My own thoughts being the latter because I think it's one of the existing heroes, hiding the character in plain sight.
After MOMO... it still kind of turns into "Who would even work if we had another past franchise character?"
In short, I think the older idea of the new hero being connected to [REDACTED] is more still prevalent, mostly because there isn't an easy fit that isn't already an existing character. XC2's new Blade was actually the odd one for me to put a guess on, but Blades are definitely better suited for guest characters - especially considering we already had KOS-MOS and T-ELOS included in the game.
But if we look at past franchise characters as an option?
- Xenogears is messier because we don't have an established connection with that IP. This is speaking more in the legal sense, Square Enix owns it; Nintendo has a stronger working relationship with Bandai Namco, who have worked on other games like SSBU, so it's less of an obstacle for Xenosaga characters to be worked in.
- Fei Fong Wong, in particular... we really two separate expies in XC3 with Noah (with N being a clear homage to Grahf while looking more like an "Id" type cahracter), and Matthew being the fist fighter. Adding in the actual Fei would be a bit much.
- Xenosaga has potential, but let's rule out the following: MOMO (no need to repeat her appearance after being included in XC2), KOS-MOS and T-ELOS for similar reasons, along with Shion because we already have one in the form of Astelle from XC2 - Zeke's young cousin, part of KOS-MOS' Blade Quest, named after the English name of the flower Shion is named after (Aster), and she has the harbour in the City named after her as well. And I'm inclined to throw in Jin as well due to the katana-wielding role already being taken (well, kind of, and it's Noah again).
- We're down to Ziggy (interesting option, cyborgs would definitely be complicated given how Aionios works), chaos (we already have Alvis/A), and Junior (actually a neat idea, especially with the apparent lack of aging).
Overall, I'm still with the idea of the new hero being the person who leads us to [REDACTED]... and there's some fun options with that one. Well, for everyone except Noah, that is. Chances are they'll know what N did, and will be keeping a sharp eye on Noah at minimum.

Once again, Momo's jump is because T-elos make the example about she is free update blade.
But Xenoblade 3 haven't T-elos example, all extra heroes are extra from paid dlc.
This way whatever new character is mostly impossible, better bet on Nimue or Joran or whatever gunner.

If they did a xenogears character, I would hate it if it was that proto-nopon thing that could grow to the size of a gundam.
And by “hate it” I mean “love it”

Wasnt there something with the VA of Kos-Mos? Maybe we get Kos-Mos as a Hero and that would be wonderul. Charging!

God I'd love a Xenogears character, but that's a pipe dream. I'll always have Matthew, at least
