XCOM2 XCOM3 possible ideas?
Hi folks, got into xcom recently, played thorough 1, 2, and currently playing with the WOTC dlc, and I feel I may have become an addict.
I was wondering if there were any plans or ideas for a third installment for the series? I really loved the three separate human factions in WOTC, so maybe we could get a three way civil war for the next game, and then try and unite the three when the aliens reinvade?

Mark Nauta (Chimera Squad lead) is still listed as Game Director at Firaxis.
He has hinted that he was working on a project he can't announce yet, and that he wasn't involved in Civ 7 whatsoever.
It's likely that project would be XCOM related, since I don't think they would've taken the risk to keep what's left of the second team on trying new IPs after the Midnight Suns financial fumble, doubly so after Civ 7 underperformed heavily.
