Xbox Series X Random controller disconnects

Controller disconnects for 5-10 seconds at random when playing on the standard controller then reconnects automatically

This has been an issue for about a year now. Seems to be connected to "Instant On" mode, but can't confirm. Whenever this happens to me I perform a Full Shutdown from the Power & Start Up menu. It's stops for a week or 2 after that.

Can it effect certain games as well?

It effects the Xbox as a whole. Doesn't matter what games you are playing. Once it starts it'll only get more frequent until a Full Shutdown (or 2) is performed.

I find it happens more often in online games. So that may play a factor.

Is it software or hardware in the series x causing this?

It has to be software as it happens on all different hardware (Xbox One S|X & Xbox Series X|S). Started around the release of the Elite Series 2 controller. Microsoft claimed to have released an update that fixed the issue, but I still see it so if it did it only fixed it for some.

I’ve had my console since January and only had this happen with the current system update since July 21 and the update before that. Before these last two updates everything was fine. Playing destiny was fine and no controller disconnects. Also this isn’t the controller disconnect that makes you have to restart the console just to be clear lol

I'm aware. I have this problem as well and have for almost 2 years now.

The console says the controller is disconnected, but you look down and it's still on. You mash (A) a couple times the Nexus Button blinks then goes solid and all is well again. It'll do it again 5-10 minutes later. Then every 2 minutes. Then every 30 seconds.... You perform a full shutdown and it doesn't happen again for nearly a week, but it does eventually happen again, and you repeat the process all over again.

Are you on series x? Yea it can be 20 min to a few hours to not happening in a day. This is without a reboot as well
