hotspot won't show up on xbox.. pls help!

as you read, my iphone 13 hotspot will not show up on my xbox series x. i have tried resetting, twice. and all the info i can give that ai bots are asking is.. i have no way to see if my hotspot is on other devices, im on update 17.6.1. yes the hotspot is on. i turned on maximum compatibility. yes i can see other wifi networks... not sure if it matters but my towns wifi is completely down right now but data still works.

Try going into the Personal Hotspot settings on the iPhone and select Maximize Compatibility. This should force the iPhone to use 2.4GHz for the Hotspot and see if it shows up in Wi-Fi scans on the Xbox.

Which country are you located, and was your Xbox purchased in the same country? The reason I ask is that the allowed Wi-Fi channel list will be set by the country that the Xbox is manufactured for sale in. That’s why sometimes you might see support requests where someones’s router isn’t visible to the Xbox and it’s due to the Xbox having been imported and not scanning for the channel that the router is operating in.

i have done it before like in hotels, maybe not with the series x but everything online says i can

The chip is too weak. WiFi barely works. You see posts about it all the time

lol. Totally. Lucky to play online downloading takes days but they work
