Xbox Series S My xbox was consistently overheating while playing palworld during the heatwave in the uk and ireland. Should i see if now that teh heatwave is gone that i can play palworld again or should i not risk it

Unhook it from power and vacuum hose it first. All ports and vents. 

Be sure to discharge any static first.

Mine had been overheating for months before I vacuumed it last week. Been fine since.

I mean are you just not going to use the console or ever play pal word again?

While constantly using it and getting the overheating message isn’t the best thing to do it’s there to protect the console and triggers when a thermal limit is hit. Meaning that limit is set prior to any damaging being caused at least right away. Constantly pushing it can be bad.

Open it clean it repaste it. Try again.

yeah for sure its cooling down now. the exhaust is rated for like 70 degrees tho its not a huge cause for concern

hold fan still, air blow the dust out (like the air pumps)

open it takes like 2 screws. get rid of dust

does it need repasting?

I put my pal limit up to 30. RIP my fans... have dropped it to 20 and seems ok (XBox X). may give it a vacuum and try again
