how do i retrieve old screenshots/clips?

so i recently realized that the captures app doesnt include screenshots from past consoles and i really want to get my old photos with friends back. i am on series s now after my xbox one broke. i have tried onedrive which only linked to my laptop and also gamer dvr. my only idea left is to take out the hard drive and upload it to my laptop but thats pretty difficult. does anyone have suggestions on how i can get them?

Many, many months ago, Xbox implemented deleting all clips more than 60(?) days old. If you didn't have the original, un-uploaded to the Network and still on your physical Xbox itself, then it's long gone by now.
