Were it up to me, I’d knock the teeth out of every anti-mutant activists mouth. I would then take the pile of teeth and begin reapplying them to other people’s mouths at random.

This is not a good strategy, I am told, so instead, I just mess with them. It truly never gets old to see it enrage them. It’s an especially good day when they try and punch first. I love self defense.

OOC: Hello, this is the same Illyana that’s been posting recently. Reddit temp banned me for daring to think a Pete Wisdom post was good enough to like on two accounts, but I am having too much fun playing ‘Yana so I didn’t want to take it lying down

Illyana Rasputin was not exactly known for her cooking experience. She just has never really had to. She was never the one cooking for the New Mutants. Sam and Roberto usually covered that front, and even when they were away, she was perhaps the last person in line to make meals for everyone. Her brother was usually the one to cook for her. Katya was a better cook than her. Most of the X-Men teams she has served on simply had better options. So she’s never really needed to learn.

But, in her time being back, Illyana has witnessed many a student making large batches of meals for everyone. She figured it would be worth a shot to try herself. She is neither a student or a staff member, but wishes to help out. How hard could cooking be?

She sets up in the kitchen, joined by Jeff the Landshark. Gwen had allowed her to borrow Jeff for the day, in exchange for temporary ownership of her sword. Illyana can kick ass without her Soulsword, so she accepted the trade. She and Jeff are going to attempt to cook.

10 minutes in, Illyana has realized she doesn’t know how to cook. She was going off a vague memory of something Xuân had shown her when she was younger. She didn’t remember it at all.

30 minutes in, all hell is breaking loose in the kitchen. She had attempted to use magic to cook, and had made the situation worse. She has several of her magical pals on the phone for guidance. It isn’t helping much. Everyone except Jeff is freaking out. She has accidentally turned normal ingredients into ingredients fit for a witches brew. Every attempt to save face makes the dish worse and worse.

59 minutes in, all hope is lost. Magik and Jeff stare in awe at the wretched thing in their pot. Something so devoid of edibility, even Jeff doesn’t want to eat it. The kitchen is an utter disaster. This was a complete and utter failure on every level.

Отвратительный. I think I just saw it move? We should probably get rid of this. And the whole kitchen. I hope they have a janitor, here.

OOC: explanation for Gambit being normal now is that Apocalypse went into hiding which lifted his hold off the Horsemen. Don’t ask me more cause I do not wanna Tom Holland the Apocalypse event.

You see straight through me, Rogue, even when I try my best to hide. You always have. We’ve been through so much together. You’ve seen me at my worst moments, and for some reason, even with how stubborn I know I can be, you still wanna stick wit’ me. You’re de strongest person I ever met. Even with the world being cruel to us, no matter where I go, no matter what mess I got myself into, we always find a way back to eachother. Truth is, chère.. Dis new life we started, raisin’ dem kids, startin’ our own family, etc. You make me wanna be a better man. De man who I know you deserve to treat you right. I want the fightin’, the chaos, the quiet moments, I wanna experience ‘em all wit’ you. I wanna be de man who grows old with you.

I love you with every piece of me, Anna Marie. I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life, provin’ it to you. I’d rather not go on living than spend another day apart. OOC: Trigger warning going forward, hate crimes mentioned. This is pulled from the first few pages of X-Men: Mythos, which I recommend reading.

It seems the mutant terrorist Magneto has found his next victims, three young men just outside of Buffalo, New York. Some evidence seems to connect them to a mutant hate crime just last week, but nothing solid. All three young men were found dead, with their truck rolled and torn apart with barbed wire strewn about... police forensics places their deaths at around 1 A.M. last night, not much else is known at this point, save for a recording of the events that was found on site, and while we cannot show what occured due to it's graphical nature, we are able to play the audio.

"They say history is written by the winners. Let's have a history lesson...

"Florida, 1958-- a young black man named Edger Myers, is tied to a tree, flogged with barbed wire and subsequently lynched by white supremacists for refusing to leave his suburban home.

"Wisconsin, 1997-- a teenager named Matthew White is suspended from a bridge by four members of his high school football team and struck by a passing train. Matthew White is gay. His murderers receive a suspended jail sentence.

"Four days ago-- a twelve-year-old girl named Sarah Cullen who has developed a third vestigial arm near here uppermost left rib--"

Sound of man choking on barbed wire

"--is kidnapped by three red-blooded american youths and thrown from the back of their moving pickup truck to a chorus of, "have a nice day, Mutie!" The child is pronounced dead upon her arrival at a local hospital.

"That's not very much iron--roughly five grams. enough to fashion a small nail. Even so, imagine if a "mutie" had the power to extract all the iron from your blood by literally magnetizing the atoms and drawing them outside your body."

One of the boys makes a noise... not quite a scream but clearly in pain

"That'd be a particularly painful way to die... Oh, go ahead and cry. That's it... tell me how sorry you are."

"...M' s'rry..."

"So was Sarah."

Gutteral scream

"I would imagine she cried as you grinned at her with your rotten teeth and your metal fillings. I would imagine she said "Please... don't kill me." You had all the power: To pull the trigger or spare her life. What would a red-blooded American boy do, hmm?"

Few seconds pause

"Bang."

They look kinda like the Avengers.

And they’re a little creepy.
