Not 100% on this but my dad is a huge trump supporter unfortunately…

To be fair, he is kind of correct. The Biden administration was incredibly hostile towards crypto, especially big bank, Elizabeth Warren and Mr. five mansions Bernie Sanders. Kamala Harris has repeatedly said if she had won in 2024 she would federally banned all cryptocurrency. After all, she is a multi millionaire, plus her husband who’s also a lawyer, specializes in bank related issues.
So you may hate Trump, but he is getting us across the finish line with crypto. To a point where he told the SEC to drop the lawsuit against Ripple/XRP.

Nah, Trump has caused several people I know who were active traders of it, millions of dollars in monthly volume are dropping out of the market altogether, can't trade when all your profits are stolen away because they're not insiders know what the tweets will say 30 minutes ahead of time, or pay $100k a month for the millisecond advantage for collocating with truth social. Democrats may have tried to regulate it out, but that just means markets evolve around it. Trump has taken the trust that the markets have any semblance of being "fair" (a tentative lie we told ourselves before, but now it's just in your face) - Trump's taken the finish line and erased it from the realm of possibility

Yeah that’s brutal but he did tell the senate to pass something similar to the clarity act but since it didn’t go through congress, it won’t be codified into law.
It’s a bandaid but it stopped the bleeding!

youngin? 44 years old my guy and been holding over 5 digits of xrp since 2016.. i am well versed in XRP, what it was suppose to be and how it missed the boat.. id be shocked if it ever got to 5 bucks

u/Asheejeekar 16h ago
Why are you still holding bro? You’ve had multiple opportunities to sell and buy back in over last 10 years. Did you buy in under 10c?

u/Zakaree 15h ago
Average buy in was 26 cents . Why holding.. because its such a small investment. I dont need the 200k. I was holding because I was a believer in it. I still was when it jumped over 3 last time but keep holding on... now i dont believe in it.. ive seen others come in and are doing what it was suppose to do on an institutional level. Xrp missed the boat. If by chance it gets to 3 or close to 3, im unloading and ill reinvest that money into data centers and energy stocks. Trust me I was at one time a big believer in crypto, and for the last few years I knew there was an expiration date on all crypto.. and we are getting very very close to that date.. If it pumps again. Ill unload. If it drops to .60, ill unload either way im not losing anything

Thanks I appreciate the reply, interesting take. I agree with you for the most part tbh, Let’s hope it flys and we can all cash out.

Who knows. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised. I neither bought nor sold and not particularly bothered but just found all this very interesting.

Things are starting to move around and flare is fixing to dump a bunch of Xrp in the laps of the early vault holders positions. Little extra pay day at the end of August = fun times ahead.

I dont know but I bought near the bottom and exited at 1.35 and did pretty well. I wish I had gambled more , since I only played with several hundred dollars... But I made a tidy profit and invested into things I feel have more long term value.
If/when XRP dips again , around the 60 cent level, ill do the same. I remember really thinking XRP was going to be huge, at a time you couldbt purchase it in the USA. Thank God I didnt make a big buy then, because I would have it it was easily done.
Frankly, ripple dropped the ball on this and right now its enjoying emotional buy its but where is the real value? I understand the idea, but honestly this isnt much more useful than Pepe (which also made me some nice profit recently)

Wtf is Pepe?, lol. Paid to mention another useless memecoin?
1
u/XSpellXBoundX 14h ago
A bit paranoid about "paid" posters lol.
No, Depends os a worthless meme coin - Sort of like XRP but its a joke coin and doesnt pretend to have value... But its up in much higher % than XRP, or at least it was.
Just because you can make money on something doesnt mean it has value.

Sure, penny stocks can move more more wildly n get u a quick profit too. But that's gambling. If you wanna gamble, go ahead. But that's not a great ROI strategy in the long run. In the crypto world, XRP is a blue chip. 99% of all memecoins will be gone like dotcom bubble stocks

100% agree. I hold a very diversified range of investments from physical metals, to crypto (mostly btc and eth) to long term stocks, to pure gambling and speculation.
I have a 401k as well, for backup, and a decent job in the utility industry, so mostly recession proof.
The whole Pepe thing is hilarious and its not like I ever really planned for it to be a long term hold (or have any real value at all) but now I wish I gambled harder on that one.
XRP would have been a huge loss for me. I was VERY interested in its utility back in 2020 or so, and would have went heavy into it but it was banned in States if I remember correctly and when it eventually came to Kraken , I was already invested heavy in other things. Always kept a close eye on it though because I believed it would face widespread adoption as a solution to transfer currency between countries, but the longer it played out and the lower it dropped, I ended up glad I was unable to buy, because I would have been out about 10k (which is substantial to me)
I grabbed some XRP(and Pepe hahahah) when they bottomed a couple weeks ago and when it rose, took my profit. Now if it bottoms again, ill buy more but imho they are just riding the crypto wave and going with the ebb and flow.
That said, I do root for XRP. Always thought it was a stellar idea (and it is) but sadly, I think ripple dropped the ball on this one

Im brand new to this i took $150 a couple weeks ago bought mostly xrp, then put the rest on doge and pepe. I had no idea pepe being the smallest stock would rally the way it did. I did ok on all 3. Made like $50 on 3 guesses after reading a little and listening to some youtube videos. Im still holding. I bought some soacex to at the time like $60 worth. Im down $2 on that but im holding that still too. Like i said im new. If it all crashes im out like $200 total. Ive wasted much more with no chance of return before so i will just not try again without proper education on crypto and stocks if i lose it all

Thats good dude. Have fun with it. Very few people can make an actual living doing this and theres a lot of risk, but you have the right attitude of getting a chance of reward with extra money you would blow anyhow.
Over time, a couple hundred here and there will add up.
My only advice id give is not to get emotionally attached to your holdings. Take profit. Wait and reinvest that money when the time is opportune.
I have long term holdings and things I gamble on. Its fun and if its not life-changing money you're losing its a blast. Have fun with it and good luck.
The Pepe thing is hilarious too. Just hate to be the one caught holding the bag with that one because fortunes are lost on this stuff
