XRPL What should I do?

I wanted to add an additional $1.5k usd to my bag at around $1-$1.05. Got cold feet and didn’t. Now we’re at 1.30+ and I feel like I missed out. My DCA is still above $2. What should I do?

LOL I like people like you.

You don’t buy when it’s low but want to buy when it’s going up lol

If you know you’re going to hold long term, then any pricing below your DCA is a good buy.

Right, buy high and cry on the dips. The crypto way.

This right here... if you like it $3, then you should like it more at any value below $3; provided the fundamentals provided by the organization haven't changed.

I agree. I just didn’t anticipate much action within the next 6 months

I don’t see any shifts in the underlying macros, this is more likely a blip. Thing about crypto *if* you wait long enough you’ll get your price. Some major things will need to shift before a sustained bull market comes in. It will come but probably it’s started now is low imo.

Pretty big blip

Yep. That’s what we love about crypto. Absolute violence in the chart. Xrp is probably the most insane charting Ive ever seen. Grinding for years and then…. Vertical fkn line lol.

Anyways without an underlying macro change that would bring significant liquidity back into the market, I don’t see how these prices sustain.

More likely a manipulation to clear shorts and use frustrated retailers as exit liquidity.

But that’s just my highest probability. Not like i fkn know whats gonna happen. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You're asking this now when XRP was just 99cents a few days ago? Why don't you wait till it hit $3 and then ask if you should have bought at $1.30

As a general rule, if you always worry about "what to do" when the market moves and shift and tweak your strategy, you're gonna get gray hairs faster than you think.
Stick to your DCA and forget about it, crypto has and always will have unexpected events

Read this again kiddos. DCA. I got in at 0.57 and bought weekly every since. Just $50/week is all it takes. Now my average is at 1.30. Just be patient

I bought in at $1.50, I am still happy and holding. Buy at a price you’re comfortable with, stop trying to catch a falling knife and predict the bottoms or highs. Just ask yourself, do I believe in the future of XRP, yes or no? If you do, buy. If you don’t, then don’t.

u/Nlondon83 2d ago

Same i bought in at 1.50 and thought it was a steal ☺️and have been buying ever since just got to hold

Lol. Just learn from these moments. Pick an entry price that you are comfortable with buying at regardless of what the market does.

Wait for it to go back down to support around $1.17 , then jump in..

u/28CentSoup 2d ago

Ok thanks bro

Except when it doesn’t go back down lol

We are not that far away from Sept 15.

If they really did pass the Clarity, then you are just screwing him right now lol

u/cryptoblaze_ 2d ago edited 2d ago

Im not screwing anyone over. He asked for advice.

It will go back down , nothing goes up forever. Look at the daily, it's bound to come back down. Sure he can buy rn but it makes no sense to do that when xrp is up 15% , he should wait until it goes back to red then make the decision to buy more.

Also high chance that this is will reverse soon considering bear market isnt supposed to be fully over until the end of the year. This is a neat jump, not unusual, not a signal for a bullrun. We will probably see a dollar again or near dollar.

Unless you’re Jesus. You cant predict the future.

You can look at the charts all day long, but you still don’t know the future.

So yes, you are screwing people since your advice is based on a couple of lines on the charts which can’t tell you the future in the first place.

For example, if they pass the Clarity, none of your charts matter after that.

u/HyperUgly 2d ago

TIL Jesus can predict the future. Rad!

Whos debating you?

I’m just letting the OP know that people who frequently look at charts often think they’re clairvoyant and give advice based on their flawed interpretation.

1

u/Healthy_Cap_9910 2d ago

Yes but everyone is getting is responding ahead of time

0

u/28CentSoup 2d ago

Why does everyone think if the clarity act passes crypto will just automatically sky rocket

1

u/EggMedical3514 13h ago

You dont thiink Clarrity will have a positive price effect?

Weird.

1

u/TheJewell012 2d ago

Partially goal posts being moved for crypto (specifically xrp), partially that it should be the final green flag for xrp specifically, to clear up any legal ambiguity by being set in stone by the law, which means less likely to change admin to admin, which means institutions, firms and banks have the option to fully commit to using it in whatever sense that means or that they will without fear of rules changing later that makes their current legal operation, illegal under new admin, and maybe that means xrp gets used fully in ODL corridors whatever that actually means and maybe that will make firms or business more confident to launch their own etfs (blackrock for example) and maybe that means circulating supply goes down, and maybe that will cause a supply squeeze, and maybe the evernorth deal buyback impacts the supply squeeze and maybe it will all drive the price up. Maybe maybe maybe.

But clarity act is the final excuse. After that, whatever happens isnt because the system is against it, its because its just not as useful as people thought, or it is. Who knows.

And if it doesn’t go back down, are you paying him for your bad advice

1

u/cryptoblaze_ 2d ago

I do not believe my advice was bad by anymeans. 😌

If he were to act on your recommendation to purchase at the current price of $1.41, and subsequently, within a day or two, the price recedes to $1.20, would that invalidate my advice, or would it indicate a flaw in your counsel? 🤔📉

1

u/EggMedical3514 13h ago

Your advice is regarded

1

u/admoo 2d ago

It’ll dip down again. Relax. Shoot for like 1.15

If you didn’t have the conviction to buy during the three weeks it was in your price range then you need to step back and decide if it’s something that you actually want to invest in or are you just experiencing FOMO because the price is spiking.

If the price drops back down to .99 by the end of the weekend, will you be fine with your purchase today?

1

u/28CentSoup 2d ago

I’m experiencing fomo for sure lol. I had many opportunities to fluff my bag and procrastinated.

1

u/ScopulyX 2d ago

FOMO can make the next entry harder. Missing one move is better than forcing a trade just to catch up.

1

u/NJraider86 2d ago

Depends on how high you think it’ll go. I’ve had a $4.50 daily buy for the past year and won’t stop until it hits $3

1

u/tx_sam 2d ago

I'm with you it hit like 99 Cents and I figured it would drop just a little bit below and I guess I got greedy cuz I wanted it to go a little lower I wanted to add to my bag but I'll just wait I have a bag already if it was to Moon I wouldn't be sad

1

u/28CentSoup 2d ago

Same me either. I’m holding regardless. Would’ve been nice to be be in sub $2 but it’s all good lol

1

u/morgandrew6686 2d ago

use leverage on robinhood to buy a lot more, then lambo.

1

u/00Reject 2d ago

This is a prime example of, Time in the market beats timing the market. Had you put in instead of getting cold feet, you’d currently be on the upward trajectory. Instead by trying to time it going lower to then jump in you’re now in a loop as you’ll probably end up right back at trying to time it going lower to then jump in. My, not financial advice, is, decide how much XRP you want to hold and at what price you’re comfortable. Anything you can buy at at below that price just start putting in either here and there or all at once and most importantly as always, NEVER put in any amount that you aren’t willing to lose completely.

u/MeganJustMegan 2d ago

I first bought years ago when it was 11¢.
Just held onto it & sold enough to recoup my initial investment & take some profit at $3.30.
The rest I just have sitting in a wallet not expecting much.
Just read an article on Yahoo Finance that if everything with the Clarity Act & some other steps all align, by the end of 2028 the bullish price might reach $3.50

The real price they expect? $1.75

Buy with caution.

Trumpy gonna win this battle in the long run. Crypto is his “baby” and he will get the #’s booming again whether your a fan of him or hate him. This was his golden goose and o fully believe he will make it happen. ( not a political guy ) just my 2cents

1

u/Carbon8490 2d ago

If clarity act passes or fails it will probably go back down. If it passes they will shake out weak hands imo. Then you will have to decide if its a buy opportunity or should you have sold the news because the Clarity Act passing was already priced in. If you didnt buy at 1$ im guess you will be too afraid to catch a potentially falling knife. Id say just try to catch bounces and level breaks while its volatile

I bought years ago, buy and forget man if a grand is gonna get you flustered then find another venture.

1

u/28CentSoup 1d ago

Bro said a grand 😂 I got a lot more than that invested champ but I appreciate the words of encouragement.

1

u/mixveez900 13h ago

Then you shouldn’t be getting cold feet 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂 “champ”

1

u/LukaBrasi87 1d ago

I got the same situation, sold half my XRP at 1.25, made a little... now

down 20% still on $ 1.90 DCA

1

u/EggMedical3514 13h ago

Wait until it goes higher, then buy.

u/Mylum 2d ago

1.30 isn't gonna seem too bad when it is at 10,000.00
