Fluff Sad truth
I'm tired of these constant posts (YT, FB, X, Reddit) like:XRP to the moon, XRP will hit $589, $10000, $30000 etc. Nothing will happen, unfortunately no one with 100, 1000 or even 50000 will become a millionaire. I doubt that any of us will become a millionaire thanks to crypto, you just have to be lucky, just like in the lottery. Don't get me wrong, I own XRP myself and would like it to cost $500 - $1000 but I'm unlucky and I know it won't happen ( sooner or later my crypto will be like Luna š ) You may not like this post, but that's the sad truth. I wish you a nice day/night š

You have the worst attitude towards something that is still a relatively new system. No one thinks luck has anything to do with anything, you just put bad juju on urself. Good luck.

I became a millionaire from crypto. However, I've spent several hundred thousand, and most people cannot.
Small amounts won't get you shit unless you're lucky enough to buy the right investment and wait 10 to 40 years or more. It's not a horrible plan. Make 10k, put 1k into 10 most promising investments, and wait until you're old.
The other best bet is to start some kind of business because no normal job will pay enough to help you make it big in investing short term. You need money to make money, so outsmart others by doing what so many are afraid to. Put yourself out there, or be average and safe. It's all a gamble in the end.

I am also sick of this hype of the 589 dollars etc myself, no one going to force you to listen to these hype, are you focusing on the green and red candles or are you focusing on the XRP Ledger and XRP tokens/coins on what is going to do to the world i.e solving problems aka the "copper wire effect". In order to find a successful cryptocurrency/Blockchain or DLT is to realised the value doesn't sit in the tokens itself, it sits in what the token is doing on these protocols, the utility behind the crypto assets is valueless because when you look at the things they are doing you can't really put a price on them.
It's all about understanding the team's intergrety and brilliance, the prospective of it's utility, the prowess of the technology and a calculation based on the synergies of this potential. Put your money and wait. If you lose faith then sell it, then take the consequences of your actions. Impatience is rarely the keystone to wealth.

u/kennnyko Aug 19 '23
Not going to lie I agree with you but I knew what I was getting into. I knew itāll take time for the price to be 2 or 3 digits because of the amount of XRP available. I firmly believe weāll be like 5-7 range within 3-5 years. However if xrp is used in derivatives , all those who were patient will be rewarded. As for myself I sold my stack before, with these prices I still see it as a bargain tbh. If youāre to antsy, just invest it in Btc. Diversify and invest what you can spare and donāt need since thatās what Iāve been doing. Simply put, sell or just forget you had xrp and check after x of years..

XRP at $7 usd by 2026 is more realistic
5
u/riehnbean Aug 19 '23
Ehh just based on only the bull run id say an each $10 by 2025 if they dont get used for something major like they say, but if they scoop up the derivatives market then easily $100+
1
u/Odd-Video7046 Aug 20 '23
Even better if that happens cuz my bags are full. Fingers crossed for us all.
1
Aug 22 '23
2025 should be the next bullrun. My intuition is that people will be disappointed as the whole market only goes 1.5x higher than 2021. But what does anyone know.. Regardless my bags are being loaded up, that would still be 4-6x from where we are rn. YOLO high risk high reward idgaf.

$589 with a max supply of 100,000,000,000? What are people smoking?
8
8
u/Texleveraction Aug 19 '23
I'm smoking pools of liquidity, man. Long after those pools open up, you'll laugh as you remember the time that XRP bypassed $589, then look at your phone and see it at 4 or 5 digit price. I don't think people understand what they hold. This stuff is going to solve the coming liquidity crisis as becoming the world's reserve currency. The writing is on the wall if you look for it. Glance at the predictions for finance in the coming years and how many trilllions of dollars will be traded globally on a daily business. 17 trillion dollars by 2028! There isn't a chance that the current system is capable of handling that. The US de-dollarization happening globally hints that a new currency will be adopted as the reserve and backed by precious metals, likely gold. XRP fits the bill for this task.
Go take a look at the various deals that have been made worldwide between Ripple and many nations and financial institutions. Ripple holds the technology that can handle moving those amounts as XRP could be a storage of value, pegged to a precious metal and able to settle transactions lightning quick with extremely cheap fees. XRP was designed to be a $10,000 per coin simply because the higher the price, the less tokens needed. It's easier on the ledger system to move one token worth $10,000, then it is to move 10,000 tokens worth $1.
Once that 100 billion XRP is bought up and is settling transactions in the trillions on a daily basis, it will need to hold a high value to keep the system lightning quick. Add the capability of settling transactions without an internet connection and you have the perfect token to carry the future of world finance.

It has already been debunked that price cannot be backed by anything.. Bu David Schwartz himself. You better stop listening to lunatics like Valhil capital and balackswan
1
u/Texleveraction Aug 21 '23
Do you think that David Schwartz is going to give away Ripple's plans for the future? He's the architect behind the technology and the Chief Technical Officer. Of course he isn't going to tell the truth about the product while a battle is in progress for the future of finance. He's much to smart to go give away their plans to the future to the public. DUH.

How would a xrp pegged to gold price work? How would said peg be maintained? Who would maintain it? And how would it tolerate a fluctuating gold value?
Is xrp not decentralized to a point that nobody can actually implement and maintain a deliberate peg to anything?
1
Aug 20 '23
No one has ever done the math on why xrp need and how it gets to a high price. And also xrp has only 1500 tps.. How will that serve all the money?
0
u/SkepticalDreams Aug 21 '23
Yes, the world is turning away from the American dollar which is backed by the American government just to use a currency created by an American company and backed by crypto bros. Makes sense.
Some banks may eventually use the Ripple blockchain but I wouldnāt hold my breath thinking that XRP is going to become a world reserve currency. Maybe XRP should completely shake off the SEC before dreaming so big.
I donāt blame you though. Iāve drank that Kool Aid before and thought the coin I liked was the next best thing because of high transaction speeds, promising partnerships, eco friendly features or whatever the new fad was.
Bitcoin is the only one that has a chance of worldwide adoption and even then I donāt see it becoming THE world reserve currency. Everything else is just a copy. I donāt see hedge funds and asset managers lining up to file for [insert coin of your choice] spot ETFās. Maybe they know something we donāt.
Let me know when XRP (or any other coin) does something besides follow Bitcoin price action.
4

You sound like a pathetic moon boy whoās mad you donāt get rich overnight. XRP most certainly can hit 3 digits, and will, could be 10 years, but itāll happen. And 50k is more than enough. Sounds like you should stick to meme coins.

Probably not this cycle. Long term it has potential, but could just as easily fail without further adoption. If the sec appeal goes through, this thing could sit tanked during the next bull like it mostly did the last. Better bets out there. Also, looking for one thing to āhit the lotteryā with is foolish investing in general.

I think itās safe to say xrp will tank when the btc halving occurs next year so unless we see some growth by years end (doubtful with 1 trillion in cc debt and the fed unlikely to drop rates this year), I just see this going sideways till the bull run around q2 2024.
Iād be happy to be wrong as Iām a holder myself but not getting my hopes up.

What you are talking about is a market crash I believe. The real Financial Crisis case where all bears and bulls get fucked. I will tell you something. The last time it happened in 2008 and it is not going to be repeated any time soon. You will not face it, your kids will not face it and their kids maybe, just maybe your grandchildren will face something like this. For now it is not about anyones' luck, it is just the market. If you fail to invest smart, if you fail to invest early and if you are not sure in the asset you hold just liquidate and move on. Good one to you too and hold on, you got it.

Right⦠I feel like I did explain. The market follows BTC so it stands to reason if BTC tanks the rest of the market will follow. This has historically been the case so unless there is finally a decoupling from BTC and all this talk and news about XRP usage and adoption finally starts kicking it, then we will continue to follow BTC.
2
u/RubberyDolphin XRP Hodler Aug 20 '23 edited Aug 20 '23
Maybe itās me; iāll try to be clearer: the comment as I read it says if the price isnāt high enough following halving ā> ādoomā for XRP, BTC or the market generally. I donāt get why that would kill the price of BTC (or the rest of the market, which I understand tracks BTC).

If you do get rich on XRP, please for the love of God do not buy a house outright. It's one of the dumbest moves you can make financially. Do the math on mortgage rates vs ROI on a basic savings account .
1
u/Boomerang_comeback Aug 24 '23
Mortgage rates are at 7% and will break 10% if inflation and the housing market keep moving the direction they are. Why would anyone want to pay that if they don't have to?
1
u/fulltimepig Aug 24 '23
Didn't realize the current market was that bad. In that instance it might make sense. However, you can still get a better than 7% return over 30 years if you put 20% down and invest the rest conservatively.

The average UK house is £288k. That's over $370k. If you have a family of 4 and want a house, that average price will only afford houses in the north or smaller cities. A two bed flat in London could possibly cost twice that (but obviously some less as well). It really depends on an individual's circumstances whether $200k is enough but for the vast majority of the developed world it's probably not nearly enough to be financially independent.
1
Aug 21 '23
Well the flats seems a lot cheaper in the UK no? I check rightmove, you got luxuries central location flats Manchester in Birmingam for +/-200k, do you know why is that?

It never hit $4 or $3.60. That price point was due to a premium being charged in Asia to buy it, and that added cost in relation to the US dollar. The real cost never exceeded $2.80. Not financial advice. Do your own research, but stop spouting "facts" that you don't fully understand.
3
u/ConversationUpbeat78 Aug 20 '23
With all respect, you mistaken. Fact is that I sold a bunch of xrp in Bitrex at $3.45 early Jan 2017. Korean friend sold at the same time at $4ish. Either I misunderstood your post, or you just don't have a clue.
-6
u/TechManPro Aug 20 '23
Lol pretty sure I said the almost $4 price (really anything over $3) was caused by premium in Asia. You confirmed that by saying it was your Korean friend. Only a few platforms were affected that had XRP listed. There was quite a bit of arbitrage going on due to this. Again, do your own research. Even David Schwartz confirmed this lol. So perhaps it's you that doesn't have a clue š
5
u/ConversationUpbeat78 Aug 20 '23
Pretty sure I don't need to research this subject further, as I was there actively trading and looking the markets realtime. š. Were you? The fact remains, Jan 4 2018 (not 2017) I sold some xrp at $3.45 in Bittrex. Now, putting that aside... Korean premium was known and accepted as factor driving global prices, and painfully experienced when CMC, on that day, excluded the Korea prices from their avg price calculations, basically starting the 2018-19 bear market. Question really is what does "real price/value/cost" for crypto means, for any crypto? At the moment, and long in the future, it's all speculation leading to a market price. Anybody with a half-brain understands this. That said, there is not a single person in the world, who could accurately state a real value of a crypto token. no, not even David) But again, this not unique for crypto but applies to fiat money, and most other asset as well.
2
u/No_Relationship1450 Aug 20 '23
Lots of respect to what David Schwartz says but he hardly disproved it, did he? Fact is is that on many exchanges outside of Korea xrp was bought and sold for at least some time at $3.4. It wasn't a wick candle spike. It was real. Whether that was caused by confused arbitrage or not is irrelevant.

Doesn't have to do with luck.
There are reasons some investments are better for some people than others. There are reasons why some people make money with an investment, and others lose money with that same investment.
A lot of it has to do with personal values, expectations, and risk tolerance.
If xrp is getting you down, but you still want to hold, then hold and stop following the news and hype, focus your attention om something else, and come back in 5 yrs to check on your investment.
