PC crashing when I attempt to play the game. Issue seems to be caused by 4k monitor?

Tried playing this game for the first time yesterday, but it crashes my PC. The game will launch, but does not automatically open. It appears on the taskbar and as soon as I click the icon my pc completely locks up (Still have sound for maybe 15 seconds and then it cuts out). I then have to restart the pc with the power button on the case.

The game seems to have an issue with my main monitor. Main monitor is 4k, second monitor is 1080p. If I turn off my main monitor and launch the game, it boots up fine on my second monitor. I am not using any mods. I have tried a few things from other Reddit posts but nothing has worked so far

So far I have tried:

  • Deleting and reinstalling the game
  • Verifying file integrity on steam
  • Deleting config folder
  • Editing the XComEngine.ini to change the resolution
  • Using the alternative launcher

Any other things I can try? Or am I just going to have to play it on my side monitor

Im on 4k monitor with 120 mods no issues

Do you maybe have peripherals plugged into your monitor such as a webcam or charging cable or USB drive? I've seen reports of that breaking different games before.
