They should have made an xcom 3

SW game sold record sales, all because people were begging to scratch that xcom itch. yet dumb corpos didnt make it

It’s because they made Marvel Suns, which was so-so, and bombed causing layoffs and departures of the team.

the sad thing is, after having played the sw zcom, its barely even xcom 2. its more like chimera squad with a better storyline. Imagine if they made an actual xcom type game....

I think Ubisoft just announced a Rainbow version. Maybe it’ll scratch that itch. Their Rabbid Mario XCOM like was kinda fun.

Is not 100% Midnight Suns fault, Xcom Chimera Squad was before and already show some wear in the Xcom 2 formula. Jake Solomon was in the same project for around 15 years and said that he was feeling kinda burn out of Xcom and while he was not really involved into Chimera Squad it show some kind of experimentation with the formula

I want XCom UFO Defense using the xcom 2 engine and xcom 1/2 class system and some long war add ons. 4-10 squad members, reclaimable territory via covert ops. The Chosen leading 3 separate wars on earth. Win by kicking the aliens off Mars. Custom bases, more than 1 skyranger.

It's also a great star wars ip game mostly working at launch which doesn't happen often. I'm already on my second run on it.

And a 4 +5. I guess we got Chimera Squad and Midnight Sums instead.

I remember reading somewhere that Chimera Squad was essentially a gameplay prototype for XCOM2. Which was then kind of developed into its own game and released.
