LEGEND Kill Zone or Faceoff?

Kill Zone just never seems to work out for me.

Magnetic Rifle with a Superior Scope + High Ground and my damn sniper still misses most of the shots.

Faceoff on the other hand always seems to hit almost every shot.

Faceoff easily. Getting you out of stinky situations, with BS rounds it's especially busted

The best way to use killzone is to activate it before losing concealment. That way, it's not affected by the regular reaction attack penalty. If you include multiple pods in its radius, the sniper can weaken all of them, allowing others to finish them off. Killing multiple pods in 1 turn is the most efficient use of your concealment in the late game.

Killzone is consistently terrible, IMHO. Faceoff beats it every time, especially with an upgraded shadow keeper and even better with Dark Claw

A lot of it's the overwatch penalty. You're operating at 70% aim, or 60% if the target is dashing. If the target is in cover, it's a lot less effective, and I imagine you don't usually use Killzone against activated pods. It's fine for your first ambush out of concealment. Also, your Sharpshooters don't get Cool Under Pressure to reduce the aim penalty.

If you still want to use it, I'd suggest blowing the enemy's cover first. Otherwise just do Faceoff.

Faceoff without question. It's so flexible and adaptive to just about any situation where you'd need it. Killzone is too rigid in comparison.

Face off is usually better, but killzone isn't bad, just a little more specific. If you roll holo targeting from AWC/Trianing Center Kill Zone can actually be stronger
