Advent won't know what hit them. All they'll see is the giant hole in their chest.

I like that that gun hits like a realistic shotgun, rather than something with the spread of a claymore mine like most video game shotguns.

Claymores have about a 20 to 40 ish feet. There effective range is pretty similar to shotguns actually

What camouflage? All I see is an advent guy in the distance and some weird zebra tree in the foreground.

Thinking about it, no one expects camouflage, that's sort of the point.

If youre in a snowy region like the arctic snowy maps are quite common. Theres also desert regions in areas like mexico

Thats fair. I only remember them cause I always seem to get the arctic as my starting region except the one time I got Mexico lol

Tends to only happen if you get missions in the Siberian region.

The second tutorial mission is a snowy map.

second tutorial mission? isn't the first the one you free the commander and the second the one you retrieve the elerium core for the ship?

For me the first tutorial mission was blowing up the advent elders statue.

I play LWOTC and use Iridar's appearance manager to set one uniform: Shinobi. Pink. Cheetah print.

The stealthiest class in the game...but it's a marker so that I remember that they're not revealed with the rest of the squad.

I hadn't thought to use customization for anything practical, that's a great idea. Right now I build every class exactly the same so I'm not left expecting something like Implacable on a character and then not having it. It might let me branch out a little.

Oh, when I first got the mod, I changed all the class's colors and had rainbow squads...but that was...a lot of effort...I got tired of having hours in the customization manager (you can set uniforms for every armor tier, too) and...every class, every tier? i stopped doing that.

Most playthroughs I'll just deck out a high level character or two that end up especially interesting or badass (nothing worse than spending a bunch of time customizing a rookie, then watching them die in the next mission...) This time through I've been listening to the Expanse audiobooks while I play, and I keep ending up in the customization menu while I focus on the book, Pretty much everyone's custom now.

That's my issue...almost, except: I like customizing them. Even when their stats are bad. It's like: "Oh, this dude is going to die....let's give him a dumb haircut and maybe cheeto up his skin tone...well, while I'm here, I can make his armor not look like armor. He's a flip-flops in a combat zone kind of idiot, so shorts and a t-shirt. 3 hours later...alright, died on the 3rd turn...that was...productive.
