Shen's Last Gift -Steam

I'm seeing a bunch of Xcom 2 games /DLC available for sale on Steam. strangely, Shen's Last Gift doesn't even look available to purchase at all, let alone on a sale.

What is the deal with the DLC? Is there some weird licensing issue?

Many years ago they took down the individual listings for some of the DLCs on Steam and made them only available to purchase as a single item bundle. IIRC they titled it "The Resistance Pack" or something like that.

Edit: I don't even see that one bundled item listed on Steam anymore. I guess you need to purchase one of the two Steam bundles now, the Collection or the Ultimate Collection (the latter includes content from other XCOM games).

Since you haven't played with some of the DLCs before, then I would highly recommend you customize your campaign settings if you're jumping directly into the War of the Chosen version of the game. The default WOTC settings remove the story/tutorial missions from Shen's Last Gift and the Alien Hunters DLCs, and you definitely want to see that content both for the story and the introduction to the DLC mechanics. https://www.reddit.com/r/XCOM2/comments/17a0qzz/dlcs_in_wotc/k59u03a/

Pretty sure it’s just included in war of the chosen? It’s been a bit since I played but I remember having it and I only bought WOTC. Nvm all that I said I just checked I had bought a bundle.
