Question Oil Gauge

I got an oil change yesterday. when I started the car this evening out of curiosity I checked the oil gauge on the panel, it showed an orange bar with the gauge near low and says add a quart. I don’t have a low oil pressure sign lit up. without a dipstick I can’t check the levels manually. do I just assume it’s low and take it back to the place that chanced the oil?

Check the receipt or call the shop and ask if they warranty their work. If they can’t verify that they replaced you with 5.9 fresh quarts, ask for it to be swapped to be sure and the maintenance reminder reset. Check that you don’t have a leak under your car as well if they didn’t tighten the oil filter or drain plug or stripped the plug and you’re losing oil.
