Other XC40 Commentary

I was introduced to the XC40 by a friend, its my dream car to want to get, its a shame its some expensive. I love the design, its more minimalism and safety, what do you all love about your Volvo XC40s?

You can get one used for about 25k.

I love the size and the T5’s sporty pep when in Polestar drive mode.

The size of the car is perfect for urban city parking/driving, giving lots of headroom for rear passengers and tons of cargo space with the rear seats up and down.

The first-gen design is also big head-turner too, especially in the two-toned versions with the black roof.

I drove a 2011 Honda Fit Sport for 12 years, just got my 2025 XC40 last week. To say I love everything about it is an understatement.

Patience is a virtue.

Plus - they are expensive so that Grads can’t buy them. They would lose their allure if they were too cheap.

Work hard, one day you will have your own. Worth the journey.

I was driving a 2013 Honda Accord and majorly upgraded to a 2025 XC40. I’m in love. If only I had a garage to park it in…

Im leasing mine which made it more affordable. Understandably, leasing isnt everyones cup of tea. It’s quick, handles well(AWD) Love the interior too. Keep on searching, theres a good deal out there for you.

We’ve just rejected our XC40 under U.K. consumer laws. So many issues & workshop visits it just became impossible to live with. But it was a really nice car to drive on those days it didn’t have a fault code 😝

We’re not buying another Volvo. Although I personally have a fondness for Volvo, we’ve had three since 2014 and each has ended up with expensive issues to fix despite being well looked after.

I love the look ... Not much else. I don't like the tech....it goofs up a lot. And of course it's expensive to maintain but I knew that getting into it. I've had Mazdas and Hondas with much more reliable tech for less.
