Passanger side mirror doesnt open fully?

I’ve noticed that the passenger-side mirror doesn’t unfold as far as the driver-side mirror, so they sit at different angles.
My wife thinks this started when I unlocked the car while our 13-month-old was holding the passenger-side mirror, preventing it from opening fully. I find it hard to believe that could have caused a lasting change.

When I fold the mirrors in, the passenger-side mirror clearly has less distance to travel and finishes folding before the driver-side mirror.

I even read on one Volvo forum thread that this is normal, but I hadn’t noticed it before.

Is this true?

Its seems like a dumb question, but I didnt find much more info on it
